Me too. I'm always switching lights off

You wouldn't believe how may lights I turned off at work this morning :? .....and the thermostat down by several degrees. *tuts*

Don't tell me, you work with all men too...

Rosie is pretty good, but when Phil is staying at my place, he leaves lights, music and TVs on all over the place. I can never understand his need to put a light on when there is sunlight outside when you draw the curtains.

Bumping this up to remind people - its tomorrow!

We are planning to switch everything off and go for a walk in the park - with wind-up lanterns. Trying to recruit other families to go with us now. The children have been doing a lot of work on energy saving and the environment at school so its a good way to end the week.

for every one of us who turns things off, there's people like Jeremy Clarkson who go round their houses turning as many electrical itmes on as possible. He's admitted to doing this as he hates the green/environmental "brigade"

He says that kind of thing very tounge in cheek - he disagrees with many things the green brigade say but he quietly is quite green.

I'll be out at a restaurant in Guildford - doubt I'll be able to get them to turn their lights off, might see if they'd do it just for one minute, just to make others aware of it who might not have known before. Thanks for bumping this up, I'd forgotten to be honest  although I did it last year much to the amusement of the ex

My eldest is quite good, the other two don't get it yet, work is abysmal, I didn't start til 10am today and ALL the lights were on in the mess room, and in the ladies loos and in the corridors - and we have floor to ceiling windows!

I'm all for this, but with my partner i might as well batter my head against a brick wall! Before he moved in i was quite happy with standard lamps etc with energy saving bulbs. I think it's more ambient. Him though! Like Blackpool illuminations. I'm just glad that all the lights in the house now are energy saving. I'm forever saying 'You in that bedroom, kitchen, bathroom etc'?!...... I know damn well he isn't because he's sitting in the chair opposite!....... 'Well switch it off then!' I hate to see waste. At the hospital where i work, i often see lights left on over the weekend in empty offices. No wonder the NHS is strapped for cash!

We signed up and will happily turn things off. OH bought some of tose standby plugs so we can turn everything off remotely. He hates bright lights anyway so he'll happily turn them off. DD will be in bed so we'll just read for an hour by candlelight. Mind you, i'm not sure OH will turn the tv off as well.

It's my hen night tonght and as the schedule is a surprise we could be anywhere at half past eight... but I should have had enough wine to demand the lights are turned off, even if we're in the middle of Oxford St

You have a great time tonight girl :) And congratulations on your wedding. Have a great day.

I remember the last time the lights went off in Oxford Street. I thought to myself 'OOH, lovely, the store detectives won't be able to see me'

Where was i when the lights went off????...... John Lewis?.. No, Harvey Nicks??...No........

ARGOS!!..... What on earth can you rob in Argos??!!

37 catalogues, 26 pens and an excercise bike out the window and that was my lot! :x
