good luck getting tickets, I bet they'll be in high demand considering this is his last concert! The only person I'd want to see live is Billy Joel :D

I once had a sometime boyfriend who gave me 2 tickets to see MJ.

I swapped them for Springstein tickets - I LIKE Springstein and find MJ to be truly awful.

Turned out the guy had queued all night for them and kinda expected us to be going TOGETHER

I didn't even take him to Springstein.......:whistle:

BAD PENGY!!! Poor man, having his heart broken, and carelessly trampled upon by a Penguinmad woman, without so much as a second thought too I'll wager!! To have his affections cast aside like mere playthings!!

Anyway, Michael Jackson, won't be going I'm afraid, he did some good stuff in the 80s but I'm afraid I think he's just too strange and I have to be honest and say I find the thought of him being responsible for the upbringing of any child rather disturbing :? Doesnt' detract from his talents as a singer but he hasn't done anything new for years. Not my bag.

Having waffled on with ALL of that, I expect it will be a spectacular show and I'd rather see him than old Britney, at least MJ will probably sing at his concerts!!

:? He did some good stuff in his time, but I wouldn't count on him being in any fit state to sing, let alone perform the number of concerts he is supposedly planning. I wouldn't waste my money to be honest. But if any of you do get tickets - I really, really hope that you get your money's worth :D

And Pengy! :shameonu::shameonu::wink:

Michael Jackson - eurgh, not my cup of tea!

I've said it before on here but i can't bear to look at him....face like a dripping ice cream!

Sorry, don't mean to offend any MJ fans but I just don't get MJ at all. Some of his earlier stuff is ok to hum along to (I can't sing lol :lol: ) I suppose.

I lost all respect for Jacko when he portrayed himself as some kind of messiah in his save the Earth Song. Ahem Michael..... you have a 20 megawatt fairground in your garden, not exactly carbon neutral is it?

Another less than impressive moment was when he dangled his child out of a third floor window by it's ear lobes. :shameonu: not gonna make many friends acting like that now are you?

And that's not to mention the other stuff he's been accused of. He is completely innocent of all those things of course. :anxious::whistle:

And then there's his terrible painful medical condition that has made him change colour, made his nose into a beak and now it seems has given him Desperate Dan's chin. He looks like a very bad special effect from 'Dawn of the Extremely Underfunded Dead'.

Apart from that I think he is brilliant

To be fair his music was good when he was ickle in the Jacksons, and Thriller was very good.

I hope he doesn't disappoint but I fear he will.

Kev.

OMG don't even get me started on MJ. Sorry to offend any fans but that man should be locked away.

He's only doing this concert to con more money out of people because he is sooo broke right now and I fear that he has more than gone over the edge and the concert will be a major disappointment for all those who pay a fortune for tickets. All beacuse he's bought out so many people that have dared to accuse the legend of crimes that appall me and im sorry to say that I completely do believe that he has committed - if not why pay out so much to stop the cases at court. He sickens me :(:vom:

As for his apperance - seems like La Toya has the same surgeon! I just couldn't be in a room where that mans face would be up on the bid screen - i'd have nightmares for weeks :(:vom:

Sorry, bit of a rant but MJ does that to me :wall:

Oddly we were talking about him in the staffroom a few weeks ago. Some of us were saying he wasn't fit to look after those kids as he is sooo wierd - regardless of whether or not he is guilty of the things he has been accused of he is guilty of not giving them a normal upbringing.

There was one guy who argued and argued that MJ's kids COULDN'T have a normal upbringing as their dad is MJ and MJ is SUCH a legend. Funny I don't see pictures of Madonnas kids plastered all over the place though (mind you not sure where I would see that as I don't read papers or mags! ). My arguement was that, like Madonna, his kids could have a relatively normal upbringing if he was somewhere like London. Maybe HE would be mobbed whenever he went out - after all he courts that. But the kids being taken out by nannies etc to private schools etc and walked around London would NOT be a stir.

Trouble is he LIKES all that publicity - that's really all there is to him now. The talented little black kid is long gone and the frankly wierd guy he is now has little left.

I am also a Michal Jackson fan (please don't shoot me down in flames!). I doubt very much if I would be successful in buying tickets as they will be like gold dust. I went to see him live at Roundhay Park in Leeds years ago, probably in the early 90's? I was right at the front (only one small person in front of me) and he looked weird then, but he was absolutely fantastic. It was a magical concert and the music which I loved anyway came alive - he really did put on an excellent show. I am glad I saw him then, in his prime, and have great memories of the fabulous concert.

That said, I am still undecided if he is innocent or guilty of the stuff he's been accused of. I can only hope that as he has been acquitted at court that he is innocent of the allegations. It will not stop me liking his music, but I wouldn't have him as a babysitter for my children!!

I always said I would go and see him again with an old schoolfriend who I went to see the concert years ago with. Unfortunately that friend died last year and it would be a bit of a wrench to go without him :( . Hmm, I think I will try to get tickets and see how lucky I am!

MJ? OK when he was a little black boy - very sweet and I loved his energy and singing.

... now... yuk! whatever he might or might not have done "Ooops, word censored!"ody will know for sure (apart from the people involved), the man is melting away! he looks like a badly done wax artwork in an overheated room... just too weird and a confused person. He's had an unreal development phase and it's not surprising he's so messed up.

I won't part with my money easily when it comes to going to concerts, but if I had to choose one artist I'd pay to see it'll definitely be Paul McCartney. Reading between the confusing media lines I 'get' he's a good egg, and I love his music, some of it gives me goosepimples at times... the other type of music that reaches that special spot is Celtic/Irish. :boohoo::dance:

Actually I'd love to see Clannad and Lunasa playing live too. Perhaps one day eh?

When it comes to listening I enjoy most types of music though, except perhaps rap, I just don't get it, I must be too old or too European for that... (plus most of the time I can't understand what they say, 'na warameen?')

I've got a horrible mental block which stops me listening to stars once they've done something dodgy. I can listen to MJ up to Thriller, but I think he turned properly odd around Bad so can't really listen to that or anything after. Off The Wall is my favourite album by him.

I can't watch someone who is still essentially mentally a prepubescent boy doing all the crotch grabbing stuff. I don't think he actually 'did' any of the things he was cleared of which should probably not be mentioned on here. Not in the 'traditional' sense of the word. I think he's stuck in his head as a child and behaves like a child with regard to all that. It's a form of mental illness. And as such, I feel desperately sorry for him and think his parents need beating senseless for the pressures they put on him which left him that way. That said, it still leaves a very sour taste watching him. And I'm so with Couperman on Earth Song. God bless Jarvis Cocker for intervening at the Brits!

I'm the same with James Brown. He treated his women badly, did time for various things, and papa may well have had a brand new bag, but I didn't want to know about it once I knew a bit about him.

Bah humbug.

Still, Kitbag - it's exciting to see a megastar. I hope it's a great gig.

 Got my tickets yesterday!

Centre floor seats. Well chuffed.

Don't like him all that much as a person - a little odd to say the least. But his music was fantastic! Just hope he's as good as he used to be. Pricey tickets though. £75 plus £9 booking fee (What is that supposed to be?) and £2.25 postage So it's actually over £86 a ticket!!! *Credit card starts to melt...* Still, better than the price on ebay!!! Shocking
