Going to be a bit graphic pooh talk - sorry

Wonder if this is anything to worry about or just a blip?

Today one of the GNR has been doing poohs that I can only describe as water with solid poo in.

It kind of squirts out of her bottom.

Its not like the ceacal poohs that are all brown and foamy - chips shop curry sauce.

Its not like a normal pooh (solid) with a white top.

It is watery with some solids, and then some of them on the patio were watery with solid bits and some of the water was white in colour.

Apart from that was happy out and about pecking and scratching about.

Will try and get a photo but wont be around tomorrow as at work.

She hasnt laid yet but both GNR are crouching.

Hasnt had any treats today but has been out digging around (wont be out tomorrow).

Any ideas?

Thanks as always

Michelle

Standard things are put her on just pellets and water - no treats - for a couple of days. Have you wormed them recently? maybe worth doing that to see if it helps. :D

If it doesn't clear up if you could find a chicken friendly vet they can do a poo analysis for you to rule out the major stuff. It cost about 15 quid when we had it done. But hopefully it will clear up on it's own. :D

Thanks will keep an eye.

They will be in all day today so wont get any grass or slugs etc (I am at work) and will keep them in tomorrow perhaps too?

Would it be cruel to them to just let one out and keep the other two in? Nugget PP who is laying deserves to come out but its one of the GNR who is doing funny pooh so I should keep them two in.

Is that just nasty as the other two will just watch her!?

Thanks will do.

What sort of yoghurt? Just normal plain yoghurt or should it say something special on it - will get some later.

I do have ACV in the water already.

They have Bokashi mixed in with the pellets but will also mix up with the yoghurt.

They were wormed a week and a half ago.

Thanks everyone, dont know what i would do without this site.

One of mine had exactly the same a few weeks ago: very watery, with only a few bits of solids (sorry...) in there. It cleared up of its own accord; I think she had eaten something dodgy and it didn't agree with her. It may have been the slice of bread and butter which she leaped up and stole from MY LUNCH! I was not amused. And it's rather put paid to alfresco eating for the time being.
