do people go a bit daft when the sun shines?

It was a lovely day today and the sunshine was gorgeous but it wasn't that warm but I saw girls out in strappy tops and on in hot pants .

There was also lots of fellas out in shorts and people sitting out at pubs.

So did you all don your summer togs today or wear your coat?

It was blinking freezing and we saw lots of people in shorts and t-shirts or shorts and vests. It was about 8 degrees where we were today. Bright, but not warm by a long chalk. We wore hats and scarves and gloves!

I had my Omlet fleece on when we went for a stroll/pottered in the garden.

 

It was gorgeous here, but bloomin' parky.

We were out in the garden with cardi's/jumper on and when sat in the sun - it was lovely and warm.

No love its not you, people just want to give their cellulite an airing. It was warmer in the garden than our house! But I had 2-3 layers on

No it's not you. Yesterday at the boot sale my hands were like ice but I saw at least 2 women in Birkenstocks!

I am one of the freaks who was out in a T shirt yesterday. In fact several times over the last few weeks I have been out in just a top whist others have had hats, scarves and coats on. I felt warm, but also realised that I probably looked at odds with how others felt.

Not you ........although sunny it was definitely chilly. I had the fire on in the conservatory yesterday afternoon and evening :D

 

even the teenagers at this house thought it was too cold for loud summery board shorts this morning

I have to admit I was one of those people sitting outside at the pub but I was wearing:

 

vest

T-shirt

Jumper

Coat

Scarf

 

 

And the patio heaters were on. Oh the joys of all my friends being smokers! I don`t smoke but would have to sit inside on my own

 

The sun was out but there was a fef chill!

It is funny seeing the difference in the clothing worn on days like that. I had a long sleeved top a jumper and a light rain coat on yesterday and still felt a bit chilly. Then again I do feel the cold, I have bad circulation and an underactive thyroid so it has to get to about 18 degrees before any layers come off My eldest was in her room doing coursework yesterday afternoon and came downstairs with icy fingers and shivering

 

We saw an old lady in a full length rain coat with her hood up and tied up tight and other people in t-shirts and shorts

It was lovely and sunny but chilly. We were in the garden with fleeces on. Then OH and YS cleaned OH's motorbike and had back and front doors open. I was sitting in front room doing cross stitch. I got so cold I had to have a bath. My fingers were like icepops.

I absolutely wet myself yesterday. We were away for the weekend in Dyserth, Wales. Beautiful countryside & peaceful. We popped into Towyn & there were some girls there sunbathing in bikini tops - on the grass! But I did half expect it in Towyn, as it's rather tacky round there!

We drove through Towyn last year and I couldn't believe how tacky it was I used to live about 10 miles away from there and it has got so much worse in the last 20 years. It looks like a holiday prison camp

.....but if you don't wear your summer clothes as soon as there is a bit of sun peeping through, you may find that that was summer......and you'll have missed it.....and then we'll be into the usual long, cold, wet, summer weather

Got into work today (don't work Mondays) and thought 'gosh, who's upset the boss' when I clapped eyes on his rather red face.

He then rather sheepishly admitted that he had been flying his model aircraft on Sunday and not realised how strong the sun was.

At least he saw the funny side - good job cos he looks like a baleesha (sp?) beacon!! lol
