Another Croc-hater bites the dust!

Recommended Posts

I gave in a bought a pair of crocs for all of us for camping  (line green, pale green, red and blue). I was tempted by fushia for me

I'll have to hide them from my sister who won't be able to see why you'd wear them when you could wear Stilettos.

I'd like to know how you get on with the fitflops as I was tempted since I could wear them all day most days...

I've got turquoise holeys on at the moment with my pj's. Very fetching! Would normally be crocs, but these were reduced from £24.99 to £4.99 in Millets outdoor shop. 8)

We hardly ever wear normal shoes, unless it's a posh meal out or a fancy do / party. All other times it's crocs of one style or another. Usually caymans, adara, mary janes, cleo, georgie wellies or malindi. Oh & their flip flops on holiday. I really like the malindi with little dresses.

You can never have enough crocs - me & hubby should each have shares in crocs. It's shameful how many pairs we each have.

I really need some purple / grape mary janes.

A few weeks ago I bought a pair of red endevour crocs from our local garden centre for £10 :)

All the other colours were still at the normal price :?

What's wrong with red I thought

So, as I have a red cube, complete with red grub and glug pots, fill up the glug pot with a red watering can, and wear a red fleece when I''m cleaning them out  I just had to have a pair.

The first time I wore them the chickens homed in and started pecking at them.

Strange how they have associated anything red with food.

I can see that the crocs comfort wins over style, but are that the chickens are being too critical if they think that I am walking around in a pair of grub pots

With apologies to all you purists out there...

What is the difference between Crocs (£loads) and cheap copies of crocs (like the 4 pairs I bought the family last year when we went camping for £1.99 a pair and that we now all wear around the garden)?

They are really comfy  The only downside is that I had to buy all the same colour (blue) and the row of them by the back door gets rather too many comments.

Are 'true' Crocs really so much better?

I have one pair thats a cheap copy from Tesco and now normal $$ crocs. The real crocs seem to have more flexible plastic and nicer colours and my eldest found he got blisters with the tesco version but hasn't with the real crocs. For my less sensitive feet I've noticed the real ones feel nicer but not enough for the price difference

Especially if you are just using them in the garden often with socks I'd stick with the £1.99/pair version 8)

As well as regular crocs I also got my boys crocs with neopane (sp ?) top to secure them as good boating shoes (after I ended up paddling in the river in my trainers to push off). My eldest used them for rowing and loves them. They are ugly  but the most practical water activity shoes I've seen.
