Blast - it was Azerbaijan I liked not Armenia. Oh well it began with an A. I thought the first few songs were snoreworthy. I rather liked Moldova and the Morris dancers. Most were foot tappingly pleasant. Ours . . . well, we thought it wouldn't be out of place in Cats. OK the Ronan Keating one was very strange. But I could really slap Mr Norton for mentioning nits at the beginning. I have been scratching every time I saw the girl in the interval - and then when I tried not to it blooming got worse. I feel right cootie now.

Oh, and OH rather liked Germany. Fast forwarded the rest because I was so far behind.

Gutted, had to leave part way through to collect son from gig. Managed to get it on the radio. Very amusing though as what I thought sounded good was very different from what those able to see the performance thought was good! Back to watch the nail biting scoring now.

Loved GN - those comments like "that's either national dress or . . . horrible dress". Very funny and he got better as the night went on (perhaps he was a bit nervous filling Terry's shoes). Not disappointed with the winner, I liked the fiddling and it was rather a catchy tune. Who remembers when Norway had nil points every year? The year they went to Israel (many, many moons ago) they had a group that played garden tool instruments. They had a difficult time trying to persuade the authorities that they were indeed instruments and not part of some terrorist plot. I actually thought they were good! DD watching it now as we don't have much space left on the box!

I have to say I watched snatches - Graham Norton apart from a very occasional witty comment was too boring - he needs to take lessons from the cricket commentary team who of course are excellent and wittering on about nothing for hours whilst rain stops play.

As for the result - well we were lucky to get decent points with our effort it simply wasn't a Eurovision tune. Eurovision winners are catchy bubbly tunes not samey ballards sung by someone sounding like a winner of a TV talent contest (sorry but to me she sounded the same as all the other winners of all the other boring talent shows). Something like that song from Slumdog millionaire would be IDEAL for Eurovision.

I KNEW that Greek fella looked familiar!

I have a notebook with him on the front of it that my friend bought me as a gift from Corfu....he is a big star over there apparently! She bought it purely for the :oops::lol::lol: factor of his trousers that are way tooooo tight and leave nothing to the imagination

I think we did well to get 5th place. It wasn't a catchy, boppy, eurocheesy style song but at least it did have a tune to it and it didn't make the ears bleed :D Wonder what we'll have for next year? If we don't manage to enter as The Omleteers  , I reckon Rolf Harris should be our entry - you gotta love Rolf! :D

We enjoyed the Eurovision. We liked Greece,Germany (Miss Kiss kiss bang) & loved Norway. Very good & was pleased that they won. Ours was garbage - so boring. Why do other countries use their top singers & we use a "Ooops, word censored!"ody?

Oh what is Ronan Keeting doing writing for Denmark - why didn't he write for Ireland? And that Ronan lookalike was freaky - he'd even got the voice off.

We also liked that funny country beginning with A, Sweden & Estonia.

Some of the costumes - what was with the blue glitzy spiderman ?

All in all enjoyed it.

I thought it was quite a good one last night. Watched it with my two daugters; son had to leave after a while. It was too much for him  I really liked the Estonia one. It was really good to see the non political voting. Well, some countries still felt they had to vote for their neighbours, but certainly wasn't as bad as last year and previous years. I liked the pools over the audience just wished Graham didn't feel the need to tell us everything about it and just let us watch. Wonder how they came up with something like that? I didn't like our song, but she did sing it well so well done to her. I just hope that doesn't mean every song from now on is going to be a mushy ballad :(

Had a great party last night, but drunk way too much Ouzo.

Wanted Greece or Denmark (thought the guitarist was a bit tasty) to win.

I was a bit disappionted as I don't think there was as much cheesiness as in past years!

Me & Sweden last night.
