chickencam Posted June 29, 2009 Share Posted June 29, 2009 Very hot and humid in the morning on Saturday but it clouded over in the afternoon. Did quite a bit of weeding in the garden, but did manage about 20 minutes on my new sun lounger, but then I got too hot so went indoors to watch some tennis. Went to the local car boot sale at 8.30am and it was already very hot, we left after about an hour and went home to wilt Did loads of gardening yesterday with frequent breaks for drinks. It was too hot to sleep last night and is very sticky and dull here this morning, hot sun forecast for later but we have had a few spots of rain. Groovychook Posted June 29, 2009 Share Posted June 29, 2009 It's been boiling hot & sunny here since Thursday... the garden party passed off without the threatened showers although the heat was oppressive- black clouds loomed for an hour put quickly moved over. We had a few showers yesterday but they were only light and short lived... it was very humid though. Think we could do with a thunder storm to clear the air... I've got a parched garden too. DD had sports day this morning, the heat was making her feel a little bit sick but they all had a good time. Just could have done with some breeze or shade. Bedroom window wide open, threw off the summer duvet and pushed Andy to the far side of the bed. 22c at 6am this morning with blue skies, sunshine and no breeze. Back to work today after a weeks holiday, eight hours in a hot kitchen wearing thick trousers, heavyweight polo shirt and safety boots .
