The morning was cloudy & didn't look very promising but the day improved and we had a scorching, sunny afternoon!

Started off lovely here but had clouded over half an hour later. It is brightening up now, but nowhere near the heatwave that was promised.

Went to the Maize Maze (or was it the Maze Maize?) - it was soooo hot. Who said it was going to rain?

Hi Everyone

Here in Preesall, 10 miles from Blackpool and 15 miles from Lancaster the weather has been mainly cloudy with a few sunny breaks in the cloud. Warm than yesterday and also the wind was not as strong.

So it has been a lovely day, how has it been with you wherever in the world you live?

Lovely photo DA. We found Devon to have clouds and perhaps rain of sorts in the distance - it had that misty look, but when we got to the DTB centre it was quite pleasant and occasional sun and very warm. When we left there was rain in the air, but more like the odd misty droplet while still being fairly bright. On the way home we seemed to race the cloud, but suddenly all the clouds had gone and it was blue sky all the way from there - still like it now. Very warm indeed. Apparently it had been this way all day long here.

A cloudy, drizzly day yesterday

 

It started off quite promising this morning but the clouds have arrived. It's breezy though so hopefully they'll blow over fairly quickly!

Hot sticky night, very overcast and windy first thing then heavy rain by 9.30am but only briefly now just threatening dark and windy but still pretty warm.

 

We were going to go camping next week to Southport but we have chickened out and are going to see realtives for a couple of days then having a day out at Alton Towers on the way back. Might go away for the bank holiday if the weather bucks up.
