Torrential rain here now.

Rained harder than i've ever seen it this morning, DD had a rather wet arrival at school. The odd shower for the rest of the morning but it's still really warm. Still had to have the fans on all day.

been hot here again today! not a cloud in the sky although there was a nice breeze which at least has cooled the house down a bit.. i seem to be in the only part of the country that has missed the rain! i think there is a blanket over the town i live in! my mum phoned yesterday to say have i seen the rain as its flooding and a big thunder and lightning storm where she lives 10 minutes away, a clap of thunder here and a few spots then nothing!! we seem to just miss out on it every time!! Not that im complaining but a nice quick rain storm would be lovley and save me watering the plants for a night!!

It was really hot this morning, then it all clouded over and we had a couple of short showers. It's quite breezy and so the cloud has been blown away and we have hazy sun now. Much more pleasant.

We had heavy rain overnight here apparently- slept right through it! Must've been lovely & cool...

Today has been a mixture of hot sun & cloudy, cool spells. There's quite a strong breeze too.

It's pleasantly warm too and I think, touch wood, that my hayfever is on the wane...

Monsoon conditions and a thunderstorm earlier. Cloudy but pleasantly warm now.

Just a couple of light showers yesterday and it still felt quite hot. Right now i'm watchig the rain throw it down outside and counting the thunderclaps. I love a good storm, the chikens are pretty unfazed too.

Raining and cloudy and a bit chilly after the heat of the last weeks. I know that I am getting middle aged when I nod knowingly saying, "Well, we do need the rain!"

....Updated to say that there has just been a HUGE clap of thunder so I may go off line soon as we usually get a power cut when there is a thunder storm!

We had a lovely weekend, but today has been cool, windy and showery with thunderstorms and hail.

I was in Basingstoke when the downpour started - called DD to get the birds inside (because they are stupid and get soggy) - just really, really heavy. Followed it home to stop outside in a dry patch. Shortly after it started again and pretty much as Jlo says - it was an enormous clap of thunder - went on for ages! Mum saw the lightning and it sounds as though it came from the clouds that had already passed us by. Then sun and back to clouds and spitting again. We haven't had any hail at all, just huge raindrops as if someone chucked a bucket of water over us.

We've had rain storms on and off since late morning. Some have included thunder and lightning to.

More thunder and rain here, the garden's definitely getting a good soaking today.

Sunny at the moment - OH rubbing his hands with glee - he has come home with more huge water containers and he's outside emptying the water butt ready for the next deluge!

Odd, nice and sunny but much cooler than of late, and then monster downpours and thunder and lightening! I love our weather

After having everything chucked at us yesterday, it's distinctly cool today (12deg at 6.30am) and windy with showers.

Had heavy downpours in the early hours - saw some lightning but no thunder. This morning a bit of everything but no storms.

Edited to add lots of evil looking clouds and torrential downpours so far.
