In desperation, didn't go to docs, just smoothed diatom down my arms. A couple of days later I was fine! Amazing. Seriously, I wonder if it could be preventative against midges & mosquitos? I have to pounce on the anti-histamine because of an allergy to them - they end up looking like a huge pinky patch (very hot to touch) with a ring of white at the edge and then my normal fleshy colour - which is also very pale, but shows up the white ring very nicely.
