Looks like it will be autumn this week!

Recommended Posts

Forget autumn, more like the middle of winter this morning at 6.50am as I stood freezing my extremities off at Ely station....usual train was cancelled so I had a half hour wait for the next one :x Beautiful clear morning though, the Fens looked fantastic (more so once I was on the warm train!) and the starlings on the platform kept me amused with all their chirping and to-ing and fro-ing- funny little things!

:think: I wonder if I can blame the dirty marks on my windows to the dog we don't own (currently adding that one to my ever expanding book of useful excuses / explanations  )

Cold here last night too, so I got out all the winter duvets this morning ready for tonight. It's apparently going to be -1 here tonight!:) Weather's fantastic for getting all the bedding dry though :D

No heating on yet - last year it was November 6th when I put it on! I always try to 'break the record'. Downstairs seems fine but upstairs is like a freezer. I closed all the bedroom windows this morning, very unusual for me!

DS even wore a jumper to school today, usually just a short-sleeved shirt! I think that's the first time since March and he didn't even moan about it. Just made sure I wasn't going to make him wear a vest :lol:

Winter is on its way :D:D:D

I believe that there is nothing between Ely and the north pole, so it does get very cold there. Lovely place though! I've sung in the cathedral a couple of times. :)

It's feezing here - frozen mud, whoopee! :?

Beautiful sky - hope the rest of the day is nice and crisp.

We've had the heating on for the first time since we moved - and have discovered that it hasn't been zoned as it should have been :? Our bedroom was a sweltering 24C and the hall and most other rooms were 21C

I like warm reception rooms and a cold bedroom :?

Still trying not to put the heating on, but grudgingly have to admit that my feet and hands are cold! I'm cooking, so it's warm in the kitchen. Then I'm going to do some ironing, so that'll keep me warm. I may have to put it on this evening though :(
