Cinnamon
The forecast for here is 17 degrees today, dropping to a high of 9 by Wednesday. The leafs are falling at last, so it looks like our delayed autumn is finally here It will be winter before we know it
EgLou
I agree, Winter is surely coming, our cat (Joey) has taken to sleeping in our bed rather than on it at night.
The Dogmother
It is definitely chillier today - I was commenting just this morning that it is usually really nippy by bonfire night.
Cinnamon
Hope it is this year Clare. There is nothing as depressing as a wet warm bonfire party
Martin B
I think it's been warming up, getting at least an egg a day for the last week. I had a two week droguh t before. I suppose it is slightly chillier in the evenings but not too cold.

The Dogmother
Tell you what - I'll light the stove tonight - get more logs in and maybe have my overnight electric blanket on if it gets really cold this year. Mond you, this year I have a big fat kitten to keep me warm!
One Man Banned
we have an electric blanket too - but only for the caravan when we go away in winter! Central heating has been on for a few weeks now as it got a little chilly and it's on tonight. Am I the ONLY one who doesn't like the winter and cold and wet and chills. I do like the odd day we go for a walk on a frosty day but as a rule I like the sunshine and the warm. As I left work this evening (where it's been cold all day at the airport) i thought about getting my gloves out for tomorrow night - my hands were freezing and icy cold - must be poor circulation as it's not exactly icy out.....yet! A xx

My heating's been on since the end of September, I have an electric blanket that gets used more than not and I have a "sad" light on my desk at work which gets switched on at 7am to keep me sane ( ) until summer.
