fstringer
Hi I don't often post on the site but thought I'd show you my chicks. I was really lucky in that 5 out of my 6 eggs hatched. Unfortunately the 6th died whilst hatching. We are now in the process of waiting to see if there are any cockerels. My daughter is trying her best to find any clues as to whether they are hens or not. Would anyone like to guess whether they are a hen or a cockerel. Redwing
Hello from Northants too! I'm not very good at this and am purely guessing when I say: First pic - boy Second pic L-R- girl, girl, boy??, girl They are all lovely though and 5/6 is really good
Lewis
I aggree the first looks like a boy, they're all standing up tall but that shouldn't mean too much .
fstringer
Thanks for the guesses. They are a maran (pic 1), 2 x white stars, a cotswold legbar (pure breed) and a buff orpington.

TAJ
Thanks for the guesses. They are a maran (pic 1), 2 x white stars, a cotswold legbar (pure breed) and a buff orpington. A Cotswold Legbar is a hybrid

Egluntyne
I'd say 1st pic - boy 2nd pic L-R girl (?), boy, boy, boy.
atsw
Lovely pictures. I don't think there's much doubt about the 1st pic, just look how he's standing - boy In the 2nd picture, going left to right, I'd say girl, boy, not sure, boy. Lesley
Thanks for the guesses. They are a maran (pic 1), 2 x white stars, a cotswold legbar (pure breed) and a buff orpington. A Cotswold Legbar is a hybrid Fiona's eggs came from our girls......it will be a pure breed Cream Legbar......but I only wrote CL on the egg , the Whitestars were crossed with the Cream Legbar cockerel and I thought one egg was from the Buff Orp, but that will be a cross as well as we don't have a Buff Orp. cockerel. They do look gorgeous though - we have two broody hens at the moment........... - I might let them sit on eggs......
