miffy
WOW......isnt it brilliant!!! moochoo
It's been really good. I can't believe this week amounts to this years' series. It's been nice to have it one block though. I often forget what's happened in last weeks' episode. My short term memory can cope with the previos evening.
Willow
Good isn't it. I love the portrayal of the civil servant good development of Mrs Spears character last night.
TAJ
It is a shame the series was cut from the usual 13 to only 5 shows this year, but having a BBC1 9 pm slot has taken it to a wider audience. Tracy
chickencam
We are enjoying it too Jack is a very complex character, i think we all would be if we had lived for so long
Cinnamon
Brilliant stuff - its had me on the edge of my seat! Haven't seen last nights yet though - we are a day behind Jacks got a nice bum, hasn't he?
Seagazer
We are really enjoying this series too. OH likes it being on all week but I'm not sure I like it on every night. I think it gives it more impact though as its all about the same thing.
miffy
not sure which I prefer one episode a week or a week of episodes......I would do a poll would do a poll but have no idea how to set it up...any one fancy setting one up?????

bellekatz
I can't believe we have lost another one, but maybe we haven't - who knows what tomrrow will bring. And where's the Dr when we need him!!!!!
miffy
OOhh that was so sad..... I really felt sorry for Jack then I remembered the children and then stopped feeling sorry for him!!! Did I miss why the old chap was connected to the 456 so closly, I realise he got left when the other children were taken, was that the reason or was there more?? Snowy
It's on again! On BBC3 - yay, I thought I'd missed it!
Seagazer
When Clement died that blew my theory that somehow he could be used to save the children. I really thought it was something to do with whoever he was talking to over his shoulder He obviously wasn't to the 456's taste. Such a brilliant series. bellekatz
Do you think there are more 456's out there............................ or not.......
chickencam
We have to go to YD's PTA barbeque tonight, it has been cancelled for the last 3 years and it is a big deal in the social calander. I am hoping to record it, we set the DVD player up last night so here's hoping. Clem's death was weird I thought he was destined for greater things. Seagazer
Perhaps he will come back to life or something. It does seem a bit strange otherwise apart from being a way of telling the story of the 1965 children/Jack.
bellekatz
No one got any comments about episode 5 or are we all still in shock??!!! Have seen it 3 times now and it still doesn't make easy watching. I have to say as a Torchwood and Dr who fan it was the best series of Torcchwood I have seen - fantasic storyline and mostly great acting. The scarey part is that I could actually see governments behaving like that, or am I just being cynical It leaves me wondering where and if they will go with Torchwood after this. I enjoyed the week long format and would be happy to see that again, maybe twice a year rather than once. I have read that RTD has ideas ready to go for Torchwood 4. But will Captain Jack come back? What part would Gwen play if she has a baby - would the Hub be rebuilt? Or can series 4 be a new Torchwood in a new city ( maybe the rift moves) with whole new cast and maybe Captain Jack just popping in from time to time if at all??? I just don't know. Anyone any ideas??? I do know that he is in two of the Dr Who christmas specials so maybe the Dr can sort him out, assuming the timeline fits............... Aga n Chickens
I have to say that I am numb after watching the ending last night. Fantastic acting and gripping to the end. I have been watching this thread to see what others thought to the final episode, and I think that it has sent a shock wave through the fans. What a turn up, and not what I was expecting at all I do hope that the Doctor can sort him out and that we will have more thrilling story lines. I agree that with the changes to the team over the last few months, there will need to be a new setting via a time shift. Goodness knows where they will end up.......Nottingham perhaps, in the caves under the Castle Christine
bluekarin
we were all upset by Ianto dying completely unexpected. I think if they do bring it back, then maybe setting it in the future, maybe with Gwens baby grown up and carrying on her work? I have really enjoyed it over the week. I'm usually a bit nonplussed by Torchwood - too much of a how many people can Captain Jack kiss this week. Unless I just happened to catch it at this bit the few times I watched Anyway, back to this weeks. I thought is was very chilling as I too could imagine the government doing something like this. It was really sad with the chap (can't remember his name) who went home to his wife and two girls when he was told they were going to be part of the 10% to kill them. The woman minister (lady with the short brown hair who kept saying I'll say what we are all thinking) was very scary. Hah to the PM thinking he got away scott free. And to the ministers PA, both of them.
Cinnamon
I hated the end,in fact I couldn't watch it as I was getting so upset. Children being torn from their famalies does not make pleasant viewing, then lovely Ianto going too - it all became too much for me The government worker who killed his wife, daughters & himself was just horrible......... Wasn't even tempted to stay tuned in case Jack got his bum out again
Space Chick
I cried my heart out I thought it was wonderfully written, and well acted, and just brilliant. But also very very sad
Scramble
I cried so much He sacrificed his own grandson and everyone else's children were okay, great yet horrible Then he ran away And that government guy, he shot his wife kids and then himself... they would have been okay...oh dear, not a very cheerful Torchwood
alih
Very grim, and reminiscent of very dark periods in history I thought. Childrenbeing coralled like that and separated from their parents. RTD is a genius. I love the fact that the monsters were actually a very tiny part in the monstrosity that was going on. And that he can write about aliens and make it political and distressing for adults. Brilliant. But I can't stand JB I'm afraid. How many times did he die and come back to life? He becomes the face of Bo though in Dr Who so no doubt we will have to see him a lot more....I think Torchwood should be left now, on a high as it were. But I have a feeling it will be back...... chocchick
I cried so much He sacrificed his own grandson and everyone else's children were okay, great yet horrible Then he ran away And that government guy, he shot his wife kids and then himself... they would have been okay...oh dear, not a very cheerful Torchwood Jack did end up sacrificing a lot of people, you can see why he'd be upset. Yanto (I just love his name Yan-to) Looks like Jack's turning back to the James Marsden style character (series 2) he used to travel round with hitching round the galaxy with his watch thing. I did like that it was darker and the evil politicians and Jack having a darker side.
Seagazer
Wow - we were really shocked when we watched the last episode Friday night. We were left wondering if they would do another series or not. Can't see how Gwen could be in it with a baby etc. We were hoping Captain Jack's grandson might have some of his "power" and be able to come back to life. Very sad. The horrible thing is you could imagine the governments conniving like they did.
