Scramble Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 ☺ Have recieved certificates for being good ☺ A letter telling us its likley that some of us will get Swine Flu, giving us details and hotline numbers ☺ School finished an hour early ☺ I'm going to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tomorrow at the cinema with friends ☺ Going to see big sister sing in a church choir on Sunday. ☺ Going away with Guides for 5 days to the Peak District. ☺ Going to Cambridge Folk Festival ☺ Going to RHS Tatton Show ☺ Then I get to relax ☺ I have no homework ☺ Summer is offically here in North Wales Except it's pouring down and I got soaked by a van speeding through a puddle ☺ But I'm happy now Anybody else in a good mood? :D edit: ooh dear, quite a few smileys Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just need a bit more in the way of dry weather and the fun can begin BIG TIME. From my perspective - no more uniform to iron no more packed lunches to make every evening no more shouting "hurry up" in the morning no more school runs in the rain no more fights about homework to be done All the above and I get to enjoy time with my boys - although the novelty will wear off at some point. We've still got another 3 days and loads of work and we have huge amounts of summer work ... like thats going to be done This afternoon in Physics we had to do exam questions, so all went to the toilet (with a stop off at the chicks and we stayed there for about an hour ) We had to answer general knowledge questions in Maths so we could watch a video next lesson, bearing in mind were 17 ... The Lion King (but we were all singing it for the rest of the lesson!) ... in Chemistry we want to watch Flubber, because its kind of related. bluekarin Posted July 17, 2009 Share Posted July 17, 2009 My three have got another week before they break up (ED breaks up next Thursday at 12pm! and the other two on Friday at the usual time). I'm in two minds about holidays. Its great not having to get up, do the sandwiches etc etc, but after a while, I find I just need some time without the kids. DS is off to Paris with Year 9 tomorrow and DD is playing golf for three days. She is the only girl out of sixteen students so is a little nervous. However, she tells me that the coolest teachers are with her so she is happy about that. I love the holidays. Even on the days that I work, the mornings are so relaxing with teenagers still abed!
