Here they are now 18/7/09 I'm always amazed at how quickly they grow. I expect some eggs soon.

Gosh I'm drooling at the sight of those feathers, I like the Wyandottes but that Orp looks like a teddy-bear! They look lovely. Isn't it amazing how they've grown so quickly.

Well, no more cockerals Coco has been rehomed. Grass, not so much....garden looks a bit like a dust bowl and all the foliage you see are actually weeds, haven't been around much to be able to maintain the garden and it looks a bit like an abandoned lot.

What lovely girls Mark...I understand that Orpies are late to lay though, so don't be too upset if she doesn't give you any presents for a while, no idea about the SLW though, so they may come through soon .

Just to report....one of the girls layed her first egg this morning but because I haven't started feeding layers yet (still on growers) it was a softy and was destroyed. At least it was in the nest box though.

Get some layers quick-smart Mark and some oyster shell/flint to improve their shells.
