Laura & CTB
Came home from work and there's an egg in the nest box Both girls have been crouching for the past couple of days so I've been hoping for some eggs soon but didn't think it would be this soon!!! I think it must be Prada's egg as she has the biggest, reddest comb but both girls got to play with a corn on the cob in the garden as a treat. I'm soooooooo happy fried egg and chips tonight! The Dogmother
Brilliant news Laura - did you do the egg dance? It's mandatory you know
Laura & CTB
If you mean the wild leg swinging arms flinging jig up and down the decking complete with mad grin and the occasionally tee hee heeeee sounds then yes - all done!! The Dogmother
Good girls - can't let the side down now can you? We all did a conga round the garden shouting 'we've got an egg'. I'm sure all the neighbours though that we were mad

gooner.girl
How big was it Laura? Daisys first one was medium, but Snowdrops was tiny - she made up for it with her second though!
Laura & CTB
I thought it was about medium size but when I went to put it into my egg holder it fell straight through the hole!! but it was an only just so we'll see what happens next time
Laura & CTB
Sorry to bore everyone but just had to give Gucci a mention - she laid her first egg today - tiny but perfect. She obviously felt the need to keep up with Prada!! Bless

theherd123
Talking about doing what chickens do - i saw, for the first time, one of my rescue girls having a dust bath today - wonderful!!! Its such a good feeling when you find an egg!
Laura & CTB
Sure is - and aren't dust baths such a laugh. I have a sand bath for mine and they both squish into it and chuck sand over each other - it's such fun to watch.
