Egluntyne
Was planning to go for a walk after lunch with my sister, her husband and our assorted children. Got my walking boots out of the garage and put on the left one...so far so good. As I tried to put on the right one, I could feel something inside it so I took my foot out and gave the boot a shake and ...yukkkkk...a dead mouse fell out!!! Eeeeekkk! At least it was dry and dessicated and not all slimy. Shudder.....!!

Beauty-Box
Yuk! A dead mouse. Had it been there long? Reminds me of when my husband put his trainer on not realising it was next to the cat litter tray and the cat had missed the tray in the night. He was so mad, but it was so funny too! Paola
Yuk! A dead mouse. Had it been there long? Reminds me of when my husband put his trainer on not realising it was next to the cat litter tray and the cat had missed the tray in the night. He was so mad, but it was so funny too! I have a similar story My husband always rides a motorbike to work and in our last house he sometimes used to leave his bike jacket in the conservatory Anyway my poor ageing cat could not get out during the night and relieved herself (No 1s) in his jacket pocket The pockets are waterproof and he only realised what she had done when he reached for his keys I still cry with laughter to this day when I think about the look on his face when he put his hand in his pocket Weeeeeeeeeee, heeeeeeeeee, heeeeeeee

The Dogmother
Hey guess what Emma? Phil called me and told me to look out of the window and up his way....... There are hunky firemen climbing up the house opposite him, and a spotlight trained on the roof - the TV aerial on the house became detached and was swinging around by its cable and smashing against the rooves. Do you think they might want a cuppa nd a slice of cake? Mind you, it's probably only justin from next door - he's on duty tonight.

Cate in NZ
I love the way this thread is developing. Dead mice leave me cold (Roger brings us plenty of dead mouse "gifts" that I could well do without ), spiders make me shudder, and I'd rather coerce hubby or son into gently disposing of them for me.... but firemen now. I can cope with firemen

Oh shame. Is Justin not worth rushing out with a cuppa for?? In fact he is gorgeous and I try not to swoonover him - he's like a cross between David Beckham and Freddie to look at and a lovely bloke too. Shame he's half my age and got a missus I don't think he has Annie Phil would make a useless fireman - he's good at heights, but a total wuss at anything else
