The Dogmother
The sun's come out here now, but it's windy too. Wish I had some laundry done to peg out at lunchtime.
Valkyrie
Lovely sunny morning which later clouded over. This afternoon we had some sunny spells - quite breezy too. It's clouded over again, but the clouds are much more rainy looking. There was a gorgeous sunset last night - it looked like lots of islands surrounded by water and then it went all purple - very pretty.
WarrensWorld
Not too sure what it's going to do. Cloudy with patches of blue, wind from the south west....

Egluntyne
And here. The clouds are moving very quickly. Makes me feel seasick to look at them.
Groovychook
We had quite a few sunny spells yesterday but there's a thick blanket of cloud this morning with this peculiar wet stuff coming out of it Don't think there's going to be enough to fill my long empty water butts but at least the plants are getting a light sprinkling... it's still very mild here too. The Dogmother
A light sprinkle of rain last night and damp this morning. Cleared briefly but it's back to clouds and dankness again. I hate to say this, but we desperately need rain.
chickencam
Everywhere here is pretty dry and the grass around the area is starting to go brown, which you don't usually expect in September. We had some rain in the air a couple of times this morning but no more than that, and it is quite mild too.
Valkyrie
I have noticed that the oak trees on the common have shrivelled leaves instead of turning colour, very dry indeed. Today we have a covering of grey cloud. Earlier it started to rain lightly, but it was only enough to dampen the path slightly.
Groovychook
A day of low cloud & constant, fine drizzle yesterday... The sun has come back this morning though & it's still very mild
The Dogmother
Pretty grotty yesterday too apart from a brief bit of sun. Lovely here this morning - washing out on the line.....
chickencam
Lovely day here too, a cold fresh start now lovely sunshine, I have the washing out too. It took all day yesterday to get my bath towels to the damp stage
The Dogmother
I'm afraid that I gave up and bunged mine in the dryer. It's gallign to peg out the laundry, walk the 5 mins back to work to find that it has started to rain and there's nowt I can then do about it
chickencam
I have a north facing back garden and by this time of year the sun doen't hit the washing line until lunchtime so I don't usually bother after the end of the month unless it is particularly dry and blowy. We had fog at dawn today and I am hoping that the same doesn't happen tomorrow because we have to drop our ED off for a school trip to the Somme Battlefields at 4.30am. I hate them going off on coaches, even more so in the early hours and fog, and she is away for her 16th birthday on Saturday

The Dogmother
Lovely here now, more cloud than earlier, but warm and sunny
Valkyrie
Yesterday we had another little drizzle for about five minutes and that was the end of the rain. Today has been lovely and warm, but it's quite chilly now that night has fallen (quite heavily too - so dark so early).
The Dogmother
It has been a stunning day here, so warm too, but as Koojie said, it got dark really quickly. The mornings are dark now too - 6.30am and the street lights were still on
Valkyrie
Yes, I noticed how dark it was this morning too Claret, I am beginning to sleep late too, whereas I have been up from anything between 4.30 to 6.00. Now it's hard to get up at 8!
The Dogmother
I shan't need the blackout blinds in my bedroom for a few months now. I am lucky that the sun shines right in my windows in the morning, it's not so lovely, however, in the summer when it wakes me up at the crack! Valkyrie
Opposite side for us - we get the evening sun in the bedroom - it's quite nice to just relax on the bed with the sun on your face sometimes.
Christian
Lovely blue skies this morning, but parky. It was 5C when I let the girls out at 7am Winter is on it's way........
