Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 8

Recommended Posts

because I was daft enough to buy a daft shaped climbing frame, and all the grass grows up around it. The bottom of the frame is flat on the ground and I think the metal things that hold it into the ground are what did the damage. I was being slightly lazy as my strimmer isn't working at the moment either. I was hoping I'd be able to just mow some of the grass around the bottom. I really hate cutting the grass, but hubby doesn't even know how to use the mower.

 I sort of did the same with my mums washing line marker - dad did it a bit before me, and my brother completely killed the stopper and goodness knows what damage he did to the mower because the plastic was completely mown off and exposed the metal tube underneath (which now has cut marks) . Mum has had some local people come in and mow it for her - she obviously doesn't trust us any more!

I wonder if your local garden centre would be able to order a replacement - other than that B&Q or Homebase maybe.

We have grass :D

In the eglu run it's aaallll gone..although they are allowed on the main grass but they treat it very carefully, like they're scared it will go away...or maybe because they have short legs and the grass is long so they can't physically do anything

Lovely sunshine here too 8)

It's friday tomorrow :P

then weekend. I am most pleased :D

Poor Laura.smiley-hug005.gif

Ah peace reigns in the house. DD went to help out at the Hospice shop (again they have held items of clothing for her - good grief). OH still out. Went to sleep with Casper the film in the background (I had no intention of watching - I just needed a gentle noise) and dribbled all over my hand. Eeeewwwwww! At least I caught up a bit. I'm off to do dindins now - veggie shepherds pie - I promised DD when her brother had gone I would do that. The bit that sets it all off - Lee and Perrins sauce.

Hello Scwambie. Still waiting for OH to come home. He'll be too tired to snore tonight and I'll be too tired to hear him if he does. DD delighted with her dinner treat. Fancy shepherd's pie without any sheep in it!e But it was quite nice - although the lentils (which I don't normally put in, but it was requested) seem to make me burp. We've been sharing the settee with a sleeping bag over us - seems to have turned chilly but I don't want to put my jumper on just yet.

Veggie shepherds pie is called Shepherdess Pie ... according to the 'cafe' in the common room at school

I got everything out to do my Biology, pens and A3 paper, turned off my laptop and ... ZZZZZZZ  so when I woke up a few minutes later I just got changed and got into bed :)

I never get to sleep that fast so I must have been really tired  - I thought I'd do it in my free this afternoon but forgot to take the sheet  so came home at 1 o'clock and did some of it then, (then cooked on Omlette, went to Cinderella, came back) and just doing some more now :D

Night night good morning. I went to bed earlier last night. Jiujiu made his first doodle doo this morning (it was after 9), so he will be whipped away early tomorrow morning before the other girls get up. Now DD can't say he is a she anymore. But she has resigned herself to the outcome - if it happened. But it has and the outcome is not good for Jiuj, but he will be coming for dinner soon. He should be a nice meaty bird - he's huge. But then of course I'm not fat, I'm big boned. Cough splutter.

Now where's that John Seymour book?

Mum has gone to stay with brother for a week so she will be tired from playing with the baby when she comes home. Apparently my aunt called her before she left, so I said "so, how's the weather in Transylvania then?" Awkward laugh heard on the other end "she says it's been 35 degrees and over, it's been soooo hot there"

"oh, so she's already in hell then?"

"you are a naughty girl"

Can you tell I don't like that woman?

Sorry that Jiujiu has found his voice :( but I'm sure he will be tasty :)

I have my friend, her daughter and her daughters best friend coming around after school today, as the girls haven't been around since I've had the ex batts and they want to meet them. It'll be a great education for them. :D

Although, I think they plot together at school as to what difficult embarrassing questions they can ask me  They are both 10 and too clever for their own good

They are brilliant girls though, which reminds me I'd better make some fairy cakes for them :P

Salmon, yum yum yum. Funny enough that is what we are having in the Spacey household for tea. I am making Smoked Salmon parcels (My own recipe smoked salmon and dill pate inside a smoked salmon shell) with salad and crusty Granary Bread

Very decadent for a Friday night, I will accompany mine with a delicious glass of New Zealand Sav Blanc, as Phil is teetotal he will probably have a glass of Pepsi

Its a glorious day in South Wales, and Henry is having a sleepy day, so I am going to go and do some Chook cleaning before the girls arrive later.

Today is a good day and I feel like I can do a lot :D

Koojie, I love Waitrose but it does cost a pretty penny  I'm sticking with my organic fruit, veg and meat from my local suppliers and the rest from Sainsbugs

Debs don't wear yourself out :shameonu:

It is a beautiful day here, I walked to Matalan and then on to the Range, they had a load of plants reduced to 50p or so, so I bought a few colourful ones to go in the pots by the door. I actually went in looking for egg cups, I don't own any and I thought it was about time I did. They only had about 3 different types and they were all boring. Fancy the VW campervan ones in the Omlet shop, might treat myself.

It's not that far, it's only along the big straight road near my house. I walked it with my mum when I was pregnant wit Oliver, and overdue, it didn't make labour start but it did give me piles

Must be careful now that I don't have to rush back to get Dan at 11:30, I can see my bank account getting a bashing. I had a good look around Homebase too as it's next door to Matalan, was going to buy Dan a new light shade, they had a Spiderman one he would've loved, but it was £15! Why is a bit of plastic and metal so expensive? My main reason for going in there though was the toilets at the back of the store :shh::lol:

Ooh, egg cups. I got some of those VW campervan ones from Cornwall for £1.99 :lol:

I saw them and was like "Faaather  "

"You don't eat boiled eggs?"

"This would be because we have no egg cups "

Bargain :)

Just got back from school 'early' finished at 1, but the head wanted me to do lights + the mic for assembly

The rest of the year went home so there was no-one in the common room so I got some chips

( :shh: no eating in school) and did some homework in "the shed" where the lighting + sound desks are upstairs at the back of the school hall. There were people on the stage rehearsing so I wasn't completely Billy No-Mates.

I got my Biology done at about 1am this morning, handed it in first thing today, then after all that in the lesson he didn't even mention it or about collecting it in so some people didn't do it!

Yep, we have a common room. It's for both upper and lower sixth so you can hardly move at times because its so full. It used to be the old kitchens and only 2 windows open one end, and none do the other, so its always boiling when its full of people.

We do have a 'panini bar' which sell drinks and food which is good too. But it all sounds better than it is

I can vividly remember our school common room, there were windows all along one side and all the 'little un's' tried to look in to see what we were up to - not a lot usually! All the 'ard kids hogged the stereo and always had rubbish on. We used to all sit as far away as possible and listen to our walkman's. It was always freezing in there too. 4.gif

Just got back from collecting Dan and discovered I'd left the kitchen window open and the shed unlocked - with the keys still in the padlock
