Chicky the painted lady (which is a very pretty butterfly). DD wants tatooes. She bought Cat von Deely's (spelling?) book - which has some fantastic pictures - although the printing errors are many, all we heard was DD complaining when she found another. :roll: This coming from the girl who never read a proper book until recently. I'm amazed her school never cottoned on. In spite of that she passed her English GCSE with flying colours. I remember her English teacher saying to OH and I that she was a very well read young girl with an excellent vocabulary - we looked at each other and laughed (she only read the ones with pictures!). She loved the book "The Yes Man" or something like that - they made a film based on it with Jim Carrey recently - she loved it and has just finished another of this guy's books. I digress (have to keep up the tradition on this thread). So Chickypiccypiccypiccypiccies please. :D

 

DD was well chuffed with her day - although the guys played the same song "a few too many times", but it was well worth it because they also played other songs as a thank you after the recordings had finished. And she was chatting to the guys "because they recognise us now". Hmmmmm. And she's off on Saturday to see them again. We told her about the lamb and she was under the impression that we had adopted one.

Where will we keep it?

Chopped up in the freezer until we cook and eat it.

Debs, I thought for a minute Henry was Grandad! :lol: I thought poor man when I read about his toys in the bath! :oops:

 

DS reckons the new Quinten Tarrantino film (WWll) is very good. He is quite demanding when it comes to viewing films - he really should be a critic - so I guess it must be good then.

Still had OH snoring - he didn't even hear DS's little entrance BECAUSE HE WAS STILL SNORING! :evil: So I'm doing a Debs and turning in again. Nighty night.xxxx

Wow, I saw my Vulcan....it was amazing ..as well as the A380, some spitfires and a couple of biplanes with wingwalkers :D

 

And after with guides....Well, we did get lost in the woods :lol: apparently that was the point :wink:

We got told to follow this trail and the leaders would meet us at the end, so basically into the woods we go...trail disappears etc, etc,...we met up with them just after an hour later and it turned out we were at a rock concert! :lol:

To celebrate 100 years of guides....we were meant to be back at 9:45....I got in about 10 minutes ago :wink:

 

That's becasue they had fireworks as a finale 8).

 

I am completely trashed, school and early mornings...I need sleep. :wink:

oooh I still really want a tattoo but can't bring myself to spend the money! A friend at work is totally anti-tattoo - her little sisters wanted one for their 18th and she took them to the Build a Bear workshop instead, because she doesn't think tattoos are right. I told her she was imposing her views on them.

 

First day of term she came in to show me HER tattoo! She had been given cause to think differently about a permanant addition. She had suffered an early miscarriage and wanted a way to remember her baby - a tiny little heart with a halo above = heart about the size the baby would have been.

 

oooh lots of digression there and I still don't have a tattoo!!

LOL - I waffle easily!

 

I'm determined to take it easy today and try and recharge my batteries - not doing bad so far- had half hour in the hot tub and a leisurely breakfast.

 

Just going to chop up some veggies to make pasta sauce - not too taxing!

Afternoon all :D

 

Not much to report here, although I have just bought new sofas, although I won't get them until November. Theres an industrial estate with loads of furniture shops about 10 miles away, so OH and I popped there this morning as we knew one shop had a sale on, we went in, saw what we wanted and ordered them :D
