mnpatel
Hi All, After week of speculation we have just seen Mr Fox creeping across the garden heading for our girls in the eglu. Thankfully they were all tucked up in bed. We currently don't have any fox deterrents, is there anything we can do to try and keep the fox away? xScrunchee
Wish I knew the answer Foxwatch seems to be a firm favourite on here but I don't really want to buy them without knowing for 100% that they work well enough. I have read that placing used teabags around the garden then sprinkling them with citronella oil is supposed to work but I haven't tried this yet as I am waiting for my citronella oil to arrive (Nearly two weeks now ) Getting a man to wee around the garden is meant to put them off too. Scarecrows that jet out water when they detect movement. Human hair hung around the garden is also supposed to put them off. OH keeps forgetting to wee in a bottle so I cannot say if this works or not to be honest but I am going to try the citronella oil teabags soon and maybe get my hair cut so I can hang that around on the fences. Pesky foxes!!!

Egluntyne
**Silent Roar** is often recommended. Although no claims are made by the maunufacturers about it being useful against foxes, many have found it to be so.
..lay a little egg for me
Electric netting...most effective fox deterrent...should be 100% effective if properly put up and maintained. However, you do need enough space between it and any fox "launch pads" so the fox does not jump over it.

Wish I could but my garden is not really wide enough to give the chickens a decent sized area to roam in. Have just been out and cleared up 3 lots of fox poo from the run roof and have put teabags with citronella oil around the place hoping it helps. Getting really cheesed off now
