Cinnamon
Anyone remember these from Dragons Den? Thought I would give them a go, as I have long curly hair that tangles easily, & which I never really brush, just poke around a bit, unless its just been washed. Anyhow, this thing is just BRILLIANT - it just glides through all the snarls with minimum effort or pain Just thought I would share,in case anyone else has tangly hair too (My eldest has long, straight sleek hair, & its also brilliant at making it look its best)
Chucky Mama
I have been thinking of getting one of these. Do you think it would cope with Afro type hair? My hair isn't quite as tight as afro but not far off.

Thanks for the recommendation Sarah, I have thick curly hair so I'll give them a go. Did you buy direct from their website, or did you get it from a shop? I see they stock them in Fenwicks at Windsor. I have to go to Lakeland, so I'll pop in and see what they are charging. Hazel

Cinnamon
Got mine on eBay - £9.75, inc P&P I think it would be fine on afro type hair, yes. It was al least a couple of years ago,I think - not on the latest series
Chookiehen
I remember them! I thought at the time they would be perfect for Caitlins hair - long and sleek, but prone to tangles after a nights sleep! She's had it chopped since then, but it's still so thick it tangles easily. Might have to invest in one!
chickric
I remember them, in fact Chickvic bought one for DD after seeing it and I must say it seems to work very well (not enought hair to try it myself ) We got it off their own web site, Here £9.77 (don't know about P&P) and now they do different colours, we could only get black. fluffyknickers
Yeah they are great, I have a pink one I bought a while back for my daughter who was born with lots of hair (will post a photo for you all to laugh at!) and its great and she only squirms a little bit when trying to brush it after a night of bed head! WIll dig out a photo of her when she was born!
The Dogmother
Looking online, I can see that it'd work well. My hair is straight and thick, so used to tangle when it was long. Just about to go back to really short though.
Cinnamon
I just picked up another one today actually,in Boots - it was £9.99 Clare,Cleo uses it on her very short hair too,but mostly to get the knots out from where she has backcombed the back of it to spike it all up
The Dogmother
I wish they had testers to try them out. Rosie has even thicker hair than mine and it tangles a lot, I might look at one in Boots at the weekend and see what I think. Thanks for the recommendation Sarah. fluffyknickers
This is a photo of my little girl when she was only weeks old! She was born with lots of hair (so was I) and after this was taken she was in the Daily Mail and on This Morning having her hair cut with Phil and Fern by charles worthington, oh and she is in a book by Gina Ford too! Thought I would post here for you all to laugh at her mad barnet! She is now two and has hair to her bottom and a tangle teezer is only thing that does it! Omletina Kyckling
She is stunning. What a fabulous photo - I'd also like to see a current one!! Thanks to you lot, I've just ordered a tangle teezer, if that can't get through my rats' maze, nothing will.....

bluekarin
aww what a gorgeous girl and such amazing eyes! I thought my YD were huge when she was born. I think I shall also be investing in a tangle tamer. My ED has long hair that get very knotty if she forgets to tie it up at night. I bought a natural bristle brush (by Kent) which is good, but it sounds like this might be better. Might also stop YD crying when I brush her hair, no matter that I am as careful as I can be when I do it
Fizzle Knit
The ironic thing is the Dragons actually rejected it - I remember at the time really liking the look of it and thinking it would be good for one of my son's longish, curlish hair. Great hair band gorgeous pic by the way FluffyK! ETA I just reread this post and wondered why I mentioned a "great hair band". Realised what I meant to say was "Great hair AND gorgeous pic by the way FluffyK!" Edited October 1, 2009 by Guest

Jules.
The Omlet effect strikes again I notice they all seem to be ergonomically (sp?) desigend for right-handed people- I'm left handed, would that cause me a problem do you think And although my hair is neither thick nor curly it knots loads when I wash it, & comes out in handfuls when I comb using a wide toothed comb after washing it. I'm not head sore either, just concerned about all my hair loss, which is due to my thyroid problems. If this tangle teezer can save me losing more hair than I need to then I'll invest in one What do you tangle teezer owners think?
