I love it too. Full of gratuitous sex and violence. My OH hates it, and can't understand the fascination.

I am intrigued enough to watch the next episode but it was a bit shocking for terrestrial telly.

 

Personally I prefer Twilight and Buffy, I am obviously more of a naive teenage vampire girl at heart

I liked that mysterious vampire man in the bar, who she agreed to meet at 1.30. Who was he...oh I why did she get beaten up at the end? It looked so good - gutted I missed it!

Sookie can hear other peoples thoughts - everyone except Bill, that is.

I suspect he was the vampire man in the bar (I saw this on Sky weeks ago,so can't quite remember).

That Bill actor looks much nicer with his hair in real life. My daughter defintely prefers James Patterson though... She saw a girl the other day with a t-shirt on that said

so that's one of her christmas presents sorted.

Call me old fashioned but I don't think some of the sex scenes were necessary to the plot, at least not that graphic. I think some directors like to go out of their way to shock

I agree. What does it add? Maybe the storyline isn't as strong as it might be. Too reminiscent of Twilight for me in various scenes (not the rudey dudey ones obviously)

 

I prefer to use my imagination, such as it is.

I'd watch it first, there aren't many scenes of that nature but they are pretty near the knuckle.
