I went to our local farm today to pick up some food for the chickens.

I 'accidentally' came home with something else. :anxious:

A skyline with a very nice hairdo. Brother wants to call her Cassie, but I’m not very keen on the name. I don’t think she looks like a Cassie to me. What do you all think?

A Gold Laced Wyandotte, my favourite chicken in the world, currently unnamed. And a reverse Sussex, named Minnie by my Mum.

I was going to wait until next spring for more, but I couldn’t not get them! They were so lovely. :D

I don't know the exact age of my Wyandotte, but she has been laying for a bit according to the place where we got her from. The two hybrids are probably about probably 22 weeks or older, I would say, as Minnie the reverse Sussex has just laid an egg. Very small, so probably one of her first eggs! :D
