brambles
Hi there - my partridge cochin seems to have a ho"Ooops, word censored!" voice, like a party blower, but more as if she's developing a really earthy cluck. She's 16 weeks old. What sort of voice does yours have? *mumbling* not that I'm worried Rasputia might by Norbit or Rasputin or anything. Other than that, feathers look like girl colouration and she has a tiny comb (just starting to pink up now). My legbar, on the other hand, is still teeny, I'm not convinced that she's the 16 weeks that I was told, but the breeder's reputable. brambles
Thanks Chelsea - you're right, it does sound like a train! Do you get many eggs from your cochins? What sort of size?
cluckingmad
Did I hear my name mentioned?! Pumpkin our partridge cochin does indeed sound like a small train its a definate honk, she's most definately a she tho', teensy comb, no boyish facial features at all and a right little Madam when it comes to being caught too She's not started laying yet, but then she's still only little at a mere 17 weeks old now... Freckles my speckled sussex has the cutest little cluck ever... its a real baby/chick noise, almost apologetic - just adds to her many charms in my opinion (that and her habit of perching on my shoulder like a little speckled parrot really makes my day! brambles
They are great, aren't they? I even caught my husband hand feeding ours this morning, having suggested we let them freerange as it was too nice for them to be cooped up
