Ms Tilytinkle
Hello All, Hope you're all healthy & happy. Enjoying the glorious Autumn & all wealth of colours it brings. I can't tell you how vital this site is to me & mine. I'm here in Dubai - its HOT - apparently their Winter!! I can live with their Winter, its 8am here & its already 27oC Medusa is still poorly!! I feel hundreds of miles away but wow what a daughter!!! Remember last time Medusa was egg bound, it was my daughter reading notes from Omlet forum, she had lists & was verbally guiding me through all needed to be done. Well, when we SKYPED on Saturday - I asked "How's Medusa" & bless our daughter (16yrs old) said "Well Mam, she didn't look so good, so I filled the sink half full with constant warm water and bathed her like we did last time. I know she isn't egg bound but it did made her feel better . . Mam she even lifted up her wing for me to guide the water onto her - after a long bath which she loved I then dried her with the hair dryer, I was very careful with the heat so I didnt burn her & she loved it . . she's still not herself but at least she felt a little better " Aaaw don't they make you proud!! I felt even more homesick & as I'm writing this I AM homesick . .work is very busy - very good but you cant beat being with the family you love especially when Medusa's poorly! Our daughter also cleaned out their cube & poo on Sunday as Mam does it . . her Dad made her a roast & all is well. I work, breathe, sleep, eat, clean & read Omlet - no change there then even when in Dubai ha ha Thanks guys I 'm loving ALL the postings & photies - all of them make me a little closer in my heart though there are too many miles between me & home MsTillysgoingtolookatthevastsprawlingdesertcitywithsmogfilledskyline whilsteatingbreakfast, whenlongingtoseeAutumnalshadesorredandorangeandlawnsofgreen

Ms Tilytinkle
Awww thank you all soooo much, your thoughts & wishes & kindness have brought much warmth here in my heart. Many miles dissolve via kindness. Thank you, you brought much to smile about whilst a few tears flowed. Cakes welcome - offer a gateaux & she's yours!! ha ha Thank you for the huge hugs and tight hugs too - all welcomed & appreciated. . . and normality resumes and work looms!! Its odd how a wee chicken can make us feel a little tearful when they die. I will miss Medusa, they all have such individual characters. Although I did say Goodbye to her before I left , as I did all our animals, just in case but I also joked with her "but i know you're a strong girl - you'll survive" Bless, not to be. Must ask hubby how the other moults are surviving. Poor Lily was almost bald in places. Oh & must remind dear daughter about the rinsed tuna delicacy to be shared. ( note daughter not hubby who thinks their spoilt rotten enough as it is without giving them tins of tuna ha ha ) Joking really I think he'd give them anything too if he thought it would help them. My Hubby said he was going to wash the cube out as she'd slept/died in the nesting box - he says its only right, wash away the smell of death. Ah well you lovely people, hope you all have a delicious day!! A happy day with healthy chickens .. er and work and family healthy & happy too of course - of course MsTilylovesallofyourphotiesofsuchfabulouschickens.
