The Dogmother
Has anyone here got, or have feedback on these? My 20 year old gas cooker is on its last legs now and i'm hoping that it will last for Christmas; a friend has recommended a Leisure cooker - she has a range, is very pleased with it and I really like the retro look. I would go for a dual fuel one. Feedback is most welcome. Guess where my Christmas money will be going!
Snowy
Funnily enough we were thinking of replacing our cooker last month and also looked at these. In the end we opted to repair our existing cooker. I went off the Leisure one, it seemed a bit 'tinny' and for the price, didn't have as many features as the Cannon one that we would have chosen. I'm racking my brains now, I can't remember all the reasons why we didn't like it
The Dogmother
I have only seen my friend's one, which is an enormous range cooker, I will try to find some on display locally. Unfortunately, my old cooker is beyond repair - I have been shoring it up for the last 5 or 6 years and the parts are now no longer available It hasn't really cooked properly for the last 4 years
Goosey Lucy
It hasn't really cooked properly for the last 4 years Must remember this as an excuse for next burnt offering
Lesley
We bought our Stoves range from just up the road from you Clare - is it Buywise? That have quite a few you can see in their store.

Cinnamon
I have a Rangemaster duel fuel range cooker & its brilliant. I had to shop around a fair bit to find one with a proper grill - many had a sort of grill/oven thing, which is not much use if you want to grill AND use the oven at the same time The double oven is dead handy too, & I should think that the option of just heating a smaller oven would be great for you,Clare. I got it in nice brushed steel - it was a total bargain too! I decided on the one I wanted & found a chap on ebay who was selling the exact one which he had won in a competition I got it for just over half price

Space Chick
I'm a Stoves fan here, sturdy and good I have a Richmond 1100 range cooker... http://www.stoves.co.uk/Range-cookers/Richmond_c3/Richmond-1100G_s45.aspx
ali-s
I am having a Rangemaster cooker in a few weeks. I have been looking into them and found they have good reviews. I have chosen an all electric Elan 110 or Elan 90 depending on how we plan our new kitchen. I found a place on the internet which is £300 cheaper than anywhere else, the cooker hoods and splash backs are 50% cheaper. The site is bookmarked on my laptop (on big puter at the mo), I will post the site later. I would love a multifuel Rayburn, but at nearly £9000 couldn't justify the price at the moment. The Dogmother
Thanks for all your suggestions - I'd love a range type one, but it woudl mean moving all the kitchen cupboards! I don't think I can stretch to one either I looked in Buywise, Lesley, but they didn't have any Leisure ones on view/in stock.
