abwsco
Are there such things as my feet are freezing even with thermal socks on. Thanks
docsquid
Try getting some of the neoprene-lined ones - but they tend to be pricey! I have some Aigle ones, which were daft price, but Muck Boot do some good ones that are cheaper insulated wellies. Hunter also make them, again expensive. But they DO keep your feet warm all day in the winter.

Becka
I think the secret to having warm feet in wellies is finding a pair with neoprene lining. I have a pair from Le Chameau which have a turquoise neoprene lining and zips from top to ankle which I only wear in colder weather because the are so warm. They have been road tested by my mother who suffers from cold feet and she thought they were amazing. She went on to buy a pair by another maker with a similar lining and they're just as good but don't have the zips - I like the ease of removal that the zips provided, less mucky hands! docsquid
Ooh, Le Chameau! I went with Aigle in the end, again with neoprene lining. They are fantastic if you have to spend the day outdoors in the cold and have a Vibram sole so if you have to do significant amounts of walking it is like wearing walking boots. BUT they are extremely expensive, as are Le Chameau. I had to gulp when I bought them, but then thought of the number of hours they would actually be worn. I have some pink Hunters for the summer, and some Crocs wellies at home for any little quick muddy chicken-related jobs. Why is it that the French make fab wellies? You'd have thought with the history, and the persona they were named after, they might not approve?
Hens@HalfMoonLane
Le Chameau too - I live in them. I have the Outlast ones rather than neoprene they keep my feet at 37 degrees summer and winter and I've never slipped in ice or mud like you can sometimes in Hunters. Just bought my third pair - they last about 5 years or so. http://www.wellie-web.co.uk/wa/1/40/1886-Veganord-Evolution.html
Chicken Licken
Muck boots for me - I have the ones with the chunkier sole as they always wear out. They are toasty and warm so far and I am determined to avoid chilblains this winter. I have had Hunters the last few years but the last pair wore really badly - only lasted a year before wearing into holes. I am hopeful that the neoprene ones will last longer and keep my poor little toes warm as well.
bigmommasally
Le chameau ones are £150 for a pair of wellies!!! And I thought my Aussie Soles at £25 were expensive!
Couperwife
which ones would anyone recommend for the allotment? my original wellies (cancer care from asda) are freezing my toes off I love the ones from cotton traders, but are they shovelling muck suitable? or are the muck boots better? hmmm, decisions, decisions cathy x
