bigmommasally
Got sent this by e-mail today and thought it might amuse you all: HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT? You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!!! It is from an orthopaedic surgeon.................This will boggle your mind and it will keep you trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's pre-programmed in your brain! 1). Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY....) and while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. 2). Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot willchange direction.. I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so.

Lewis
That'll be mentioned in physics tomorrow! I like the one where you bend your middle finger and can't move ring finger.
docsquid
Mine didn't change direction, but then I'm not right footed - I'm very left footed, so have to think very hard about what my right foot is doing!
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Managed to fool my foot on the second time. How funny though! Like it!
Chook n Boo Mum
That'll be mentioned in physics tomorrow! I like the one where you bend your middle finger and can't move ring finger. What, can't move it at all or it has a robotics moment? Mine go for the robotics movement or am I doing it wrong ? And it's weird that right foot thing, it changes direction without me even noticing, no matter how hard I concentrate on it Sha x

Its hard to explain Put your hand flat on a table, palm down, and bend your middle finger under so that the middle knuckle on your finger is touching the table. You can only move one finger at a time ........ then starting from your thumb, lift that finger, then index, then ring finger
Chook n Boo Mum
Thanks Lewis, as I suspected I was doing it wrong , I was holding my hand in the air Nope I definitely can't move my ring finger in that position.......not abnormal afterall Sha x

Space Chick
Thanks Lewis, as I suspected I was doing it wrong , I was holding my hand in the air Nope I definitely can't move my ring finger in that position.......not abnormal afterall Sha x Maybe I should have explained a bit better! I'm abnormal, I can move all my fingers easily My foot won't play properly though, it does indeed move direction
Ain't Nobody Here
Just got OH to do it (without telling him why ). His foot changed direction too . (So did mine . Not while he was doing it, when I did it .)

I'm abnormal, I can move all my fingers easily My foot won't play properly though, it does indeed move direction You probably aren't doing it right... I am sure you are normal!! Because of the way your tendons work in your hand, it is physically impossible to lift your ring finger if your middle finger is folded under your hand. Those two fingers share a tendon or something (somebody more clever can explain properly I am sure!) Even if you put your hand flat on the table, you can't lift your ring finger very far at all. Space Chick
Honest I can do it And with a standard flat hand on table I can lift my ring finger to probably about a 60 degree angle. I have always had weird fingers though, I can bend each finger behind the finger next to it, amazing really as they are also quite fat horrible stumpy fingers
