Snowy
Can anyone advise on the width fitting of crocs? Do they tend to be on the narrow side, or are they good for broader feet? My feet are size 3, but I often have to buy 4s if the shoe is enclosed as I have 'fat feet'!
Nicola H
I believe from talking to others who own them that the Caymans are wide fitting...........I hope so because I also have fat feet, I tried a pair on in Spain and they were a size 5 which I usually take but they were not long enough so I have ordered size 6. Mrs Frugal
My feet are flat as pancakes . Very wide indeed and my Caymans are smashing! I've got 2 pairs now as they are soooo comfy! Mine are my usual size - 5.
Snowy
Thanks for the feedback - I've ordered a pair of kids caymens size 3, see if they fit! Hopefully length won't be a problem as I have had shoes in 2 1/2s in the past! Great bargain from Sweetfeet - £15.53! Thanks to whoever it was that posted about their sale! The Dogmother
Sounds like your feet are the same size as mine Snowy, but mine are narrow. The lovely lady at jellyegg told me that when your toes are just touching the end, there should be 1cm of space behind your heel. I take the same size as you and have children's size 3. Rosie has square feet and has a pair of size 1, which fit her perfectly, she also got a pair of size 2 from Father Christmas and they are to grow into, although, being pink, they are getting worn now. I have a problem getting her sandals for school in the summer because her feet are so broad, so I asked at school whether she could wear her navy crocs (after all they are more sensible than the high-heeled sandals worn by some of the young girls), the head said that they were fine, so she wore them all summer and was happy as a sand boy in them. Lesley
Same answer as Kate from me - fat feet and Caymans in my usual size 5.
feemcg
I have size 4 fat (often puffy!) feet and have size 5 Caymans which fit nicely and size 5 Aspens which can get tight at times.
Lesley
Where else could we all come and talk about our fat feet?
Sheilaz
I've been wearing my Aspens all winter, just replacing plain black shoes or boots, work, play, anything. However, if my feet get as far as becoming cold in them, such as standing at my son's market stall, they are impossible to warm. But, in general it's so mild here in S. East that in general I go all day without getting cold feet, so they are fine all year round. I wouldn't wear them in a cold winter (unless bigger size with thermal sock layers?) I also have puffy feet so did order 7 Aspens for feet that would be a wide 6 (or more when puffed) but only 6 Cayman's. Since Omleteers introduced me to Crocs early last Summer, I have only worn "proper" shoes or boots on 2 or 3 occasions. Brilliant!
Guest
I too haven't worn anything else since getting my crocs. I am a size 6 and have Caymans size 6 and Aspens size 7. I would buy size 7s in the future as they are more spacious. I haven't experienced my feet getting too cold, but they do get too hot in the aspens if I'm inside. Then they squeak when I walk! The Dogmother
I wear 'proper shoes' for work, but get into my Crocs at all other times. I don't wear them outside when it's wet or cold though as I hate having wet feet.
Looney
My boyfriend bought me a pair of Crocs for Christmas (Caymans) - what a clever chap!! He bought a blue pair in size 7 which I have since swapped for a green pair in size 6 and they fit perfectly. I usually take a 6. I have spade feet and the width is fantastic on the shoes. Cinnamon
I wear 'proper shoes' for work, but get into my Crocs at all other times. I don't wear them outside when it's wet or cold though as I hate having wet feet. Same here. I also don't much like the socks & sandals look, so only really wear them when out & about if its nice & worm as well as dry8) I find they don't feel as "grippy" when worn with socks too, & worry that they might slip a bit
Nicola H
Well my first pairs of Crocs arrived this morning, the Athens flip flops are great they fit, I usually struggle to get my big toe to go in the bit at the front but these are perfect I will save them for the summer holiday on the beach. The Caymens fit just right too I ordered a size bigger than shoes I am wearing dark socks with them because my feet are cold but because they are navy blue they look OK. I was suprised how light they are and that the spiky bits inside don't hurt your feet, they will take a bit of getting used to but are already very comfy, I am going to give them a test run outside soon when i walk down to the village and see how many people look at my feet........... I should think I will get lots of looks I have only seen one other person wearing them in Lymm ( I am the only Croc. wearer in the village ) I can't beleive it has taken me this long to get a pair, I like a bargain though so thanks again Ginette for the link to Sweetfeet, very good service............ Mrs Frugal
I'm going to order myself a pair of the Crocs ballet type shoes soon for occasions when my Caymans aren't really practical but I've gone from wearing Crocs all summer to Uggs all winter and my feet have never been happier ! sarahjm
Hi Kate, what are Uggs? is there a website? I love love love my crocs but could do with a winter version, sounds like this could be it... I hate having cold feet and crocs are drafty it can't be denied
Mrs Frugal
Uggs are sheepskin boots from Australia. They are expensive but the most comfortable things I've ever had on my feet. I bought copies last year and the real things this year and there is no comparison! The real ones are fabulously warm and so comfortable that my feet think they have died and gone to Heaven!! Worth the money without a doubt. This is the Australian website Ugg Boots but you can get them in the UK from various outlets and there are often some on Ebay too for much less than shop prices if you're lucky. Sheilaz
I also don't much like the socks & sandals look, so only really wear them when out & about if its nice & worm as well as dry8) ...I wouldn't like that look, but I find that my black workaday trousers with black socks in black Aspens don't look like that at all, "Ooops, word censored!"ody notices them (unless I put my feet up at work ) It's the type of material that makes them cold, not draughts, even with socks, unless they are very thick socks. I remember finding ordinary wellies cold for that reason. I love your descriptions, Nicola. I think wearing them in Summer is the best, as the spiky bits seem to massage the feet. The brighter colours are very noticeable, I have to be feeling quite bold to wear the lilac. But blue is stylishly noticeable, you'll be starting a trend in Lymm. Uggs sound cosy, maybe next year! I haven't sen the croc ballet pump style, Kate. Oh dear, I feel more croc searches coming on, I just want all the styles, in all the colours! A bit like Eglus really! AnnieP
Do you know what Sheila, that crossed my mind in the summer when we were all ranting and raving about how much we all loved our crocs (I have hot pink and boring brown): I bet there is a almost a guarantee that Eglu owners (who must like rounded, brightly coloured, modern, and functional Eglus) would also like Crocs! Cinnamon
Cleo will love them too. I have fuschia Crocs,so would probably go for a different colour in these, but I can see them certainly joining my Crocs collection
