Lewis
Anyone else believe in Karma? After Father walking out of B&Q not buying anything + in a mood about having to pave the whole WIR yesterday ... a pipe burst this morning and he's been back 3 times He's spent about half an hour trying to saw something off the bottom of the sink to take the waste disposal off and replace it with just a plug hole. I had a look ... picked up a spanner ... pulled off a clip and job done Karma
Couperwife
yes the "what goes around, comes around" always makes me smile (especially when the person in question has done something to me ) but - your poor dad, there is nothing more frustrating than DIY!! cathy c
ClaireG
Oh dear I'd be careful though just incase this makes his mood even worse.

Cinnamon
I believe in Karma, very much so If someone does a bad thing to me,whether they have done something personal & hurtful,or just been a snippy sales assistant,I will always walk away knowing that they will get theirs, eventually Not sure that what happened to your dad was karma really, just sounds like a big dose of bad luck,or Sods Law
Valkyrie
You are a naughty boy Lewis! But it's great that you found the source of the problem. Now if only you tried to help earlier your dad wouldn't have done those extra trips. I remember my dad being brilliant at DIY, so when our loo went kaput upstairs dad came to fix it. He actually made it worse and the whole lot of water cascaded out and into the loo downstairs and in the hallway. He said it was because the pipes were all newfangled stuff. He was the same at their new house up the road - the number of times mum had to call the plumber to fix what dad had fixed. Yes I do believe in Karma. chelsea
I absolutely believe in it. I always try and do good deeds or have good thoughts, recently Bracken has been under a lot of veterinary attention and to repay the fact that she is coming through it we donated all her unused toys, food, blankets to the local Blue Cross as a way of saying "thankyou" to whoever is around up there taking care of her/watching over her! Happy chickens!
I must have been very bad to have my in-laws move in with me for a month. Or am I earning a lot of 'karma points' and can I bank them for when I need them most? I do generally think that if you treat others as you wish to be treated, then it does end up benefitting you in the long run. Karma or logic? I don't know. Karma or logic? I don't know. it also means that you can quite easily say "I have never treated you like this - so dont you treat me like this" and walk away with your head held high I do this to the little darlings at school and they dont really know what to say back oh, good luck with the out-laws by the way cathy x
Redwing
it also means that you can quite easily say "I have never treated you like this - so dont you treat me like this" and walk away with your head held high cathy x I love that, absolutely brilliant. I dont believe in karma, I know too many people who have lied and cheated their way through the years and never seem to get anything bad happen to them
Valkyrie
Everybody will want to do it. I think it works if you are a decent person, but some utter ignoramus imbecile guttersnipe etc, it seems they do get away with a little too much. Doesn't help with uman rights being in their favour either, but that's for another soap box thread! Although do unto others as you would be done yourself is good - then those that have done not nice things should be able to receive a bit of what they dished out right back at em! Happy chickens!
I like it Couperwife! I shouldn't have mocked the Karma - more bad luck with in-laws. Will be much more respectful in future.
