Omlet Hamster Cage For Sale Best Offer

[shaunw]

We have finally got round to making the veggie plot (too much hardwork for too little return in this country) into a 2nd WIR for the chickens Mostin got for Christmas.

Thanks to some very affordable (and if you are a bloke, cool) camouflage tarps from Tarpaflex we gave the veggie plot a roof and moved the new gang in.

I love this one, no sooner had i put the perch up than they were up there. I swear Carla (on the right) is saying "look i can see my old house from here"

We moved in 2 of the other, older girls. Carla who big bad Bill used to pick on, and Willow who came to live with us from Laurmurf coz she was too noisy (????????? quiet as a mouse here.LOL)

Mostin in the run with the girls (and boy, Rød) while they settle in.

A very Happy chicken Mummy.

and Happy chickens, we hope.

[mostin]

Haven't I got a clever hubby

[Chickvic]

Looks great

[Lewis]

Looks good

The separated beds are really useful now they aren't veggie beds, and if you ever go back to veggies, it'll all be fertilised for you!

Wish we could get ours sorted that quickly

Chicken City is evolving. You can still grow veg in there they'll love them.

That greenhouse Sure I saw someone had converted one.

Well done Shaun and congratulations Mostin.

Looks great Shaun Now, if you could just come and give DH a kick up the bum to get my WIR no 2 done

[chelsea]

Lucky girlies, love the built in dustbaths!

[laurmurf]

and he had time to build all that while busily bribing referees in southern football matches? How does he find the time?

(looks fab.... she said begrudgingly.... )

[Falkor]

If your players stopped diving no bribing would be necessary.....

[Jules.]

Now, now......Laurie and Shaun , stop fighting, it's only a game...... *runs and hides *

My mum is going to be so gutted as she was full of plans for which veg should be planted in that garden this summer .

I think my girls look far prettier in there than cabbages .

[Space Chick]

I agree Mostin, you can't have a conversation with a cabbage (unless you are Prince Charles )

Its looking good, well done Mr Mostin

I have designs on one of our veggie plots Don't tell Phil yet

[Seagazer]

That looks great and the girls definitely look happy.

[chick wiggle]

Looks great Mostin, your clever OH strikes again They look very happy in there

Ok now can we have some details please. I want another WIR too but the only other places we have are on soil, ie veggie beds like yours or down the border. So, did you pave the area first? apart from the girls dust bathing areas which i think are brill Was it a shed or greenhouse you converted? i want a quick and easy WIR

[shaunw]

Hi Chickwiggle,

for a quick and easy WIR our first one was the easiest.

Just find a local fence hire place and buy some "Used" Harris fence panels.

Fix them in a square and fix each corner together.

Then cut a door in one panel and with a roll of chicken wire (18" high is all you need) put a layer around inside from ground up.

this was our first WIR built last year from these fence panels.

We didnt build on a concrete base (but in fairness have recently discovered rabbit/rat holes around it).

The roof is optional but was built with a simple frame and some corrugated sheets bought off ebay.

Our first run was built for less than £150 for a 7m x 3.5m run. So a smaller run would be cheaper still.
