Very cold last night, but a thin cloud cover, so no frost, fabulous sunset though. -0.5deg this morning and a few flakes of snow, but none since then. Grey, cold and dull. It was a very dull cold still start to the day biut the sun came our by lunchtime. there is a little breeze now and not unpleasant if wrapped up well. Chooks put to bed with their mealworms and for the first time in months this afternoon there was an egg announcement Three out of the four now laying Now that the sun is going down the sky has all but cleared and there are pink orange and purple stripes in the sky. Over in Odiham there was a terrific little cloudburst - rang OH to put the chicken food in the greenhouse and leave the door open for them. When I got home there hadn't been any rain at all!
