The Dogmother
There are NEW (since this morning's walk) lambs in the fields what were those mother sheep thinking? They'll catch cold!
Groovychook
Dull, damp & mild. Quite breezy too- glad to see the back of the bitter wind though!
Groovychook
Not much has changed since yesterday- it's still mild & drizzly with a horrible white, cloudy sky . There's no breeze at all today, so I can't see it changing this afternoon...
Old Speckled Hen
Sunny and hazy. -4 this morning and ground as hard as iron. Too tough for chicken toes Sleet forecast for later.
The Dogmother
1.4deg earlier, mild and grey now, no rain though which is good as the ground here is saturated.
Groovychook
It's miserable here this morning- dark sky with low hanging cloud. There's constant light rain and it's extremely again squelchy underfoot. Very mild- 9 degrees
Old Speckled Hen
Well it snowed yesterday afternoon and all was white this morning. It's all going though Dank and grey.
The Dogmother
6deg this morning, so plenty warm enough for this time of year. Very grey and drizzly though. I am considering putting some temporary mats down on the grass to make a path before I churn it to mush. My garden usually drains really well, but in the last couple of years, the wtaer table hasn't really gone down properly
Groovychook
My garden usually drains really well, but in the last couple of years, the wtaer table hasn't really gone down properly Same here. I keep trying to pick a different path to the girls!
WarrensWorld
My garden usually drains really well, but in the last couple of years, the wtaer table hasn't really gone down properly Same here. I keep trying to pick a different path to the girls! Same here we live on a hill, but the water isn't draining away at all. It's like walking on a giant sopping wet sponge. I'm scared to go to our plot of bog, worried about what I'll find, it's that bad...... Don't think I'll be cutting any turf any time soon.
Egluntyne
Thick fog here.
Valkyrie
Lovely photo from the other day. Same as yesterday here, possibly more drizzle this morning, but it seems to be dry at the mo. Just dull and damp. The snow pile at the end of our cul-de-sac has now gone, still a big one at the roundabout round the corner - huge piles still at Sainsbury's in Camberley. Valkyrie
In spite of being woken up to a very miserable wet forecast for the day by our local radio, I have been pleasantly surprised to find a very mild but cloudy morning giving way to bright sunshine! WarrensWorld
Cloudless blue sky and warm. What a difference a day makes.
The Dogmother
Cloudless blue sky and warm. What a difference a day makes. Especially when it's your birthday! Have a good one Colin Warm and tentative sunshine here, but a bit of a breeze. I don't mind so long as it doesn't rain any more
Groovychook
Happy Birthday from me too Colin! We've had a lovely sunny day here too... until 4pm when the heavens opened and a gale started blowing It's calmed down a bit now but there are a few more clouds about than this morning. Valkyrie
We had one downpour after lunch - poor postie got soaked! But it didn't last long and it brightened up nicely. Dry enough in the undergrowth for a lot of scratching around - well I saw the evidence when I put the girls in the run just now.
Old Speckled Hen
A bit of a grey day but it has cleared now and it looks like we'll have a very pretty sunset. Warmer than yesterday at about 5 degrees.
WarrensWorld
Thank you very much, I was a little depressed first thing, but I've pulled out of it. Must be the weather it's still cloudless but a tad colder. Ground is still spongy, but the girls don't seem to mind..... edit:- I think my depressed state was because I'm now on the dark side of the big 60.... Blackrocksrock
wet dreich and misty here and snow getting a shift at long last - been down the garden with the girls places they have not been in weeks so bit better - the roads are clear and still places with icy spots especially as its wet on top but wonderful to see grass at last. More is expected of the white stuff over the next week I am reliably informed but I dont want to know!
Valkyrie
Damp this morning, but no rain soon brightened to a lovely day. I see the forecast has changed and now instead of it getting warmer, is now expected to get cold again with sleet and snow for Monday.
Valkyrie
Brightness led to fog, which has lifted and now we have dull and damp grey stuff.
