Sunny today but with a bitterly cold wind.

We had a hail/snow shower about half an hour ago too.

Started off gloomy, quite windy, very cold then out came the sun. We had that for most of the day until about 2.30/3-ish when it became very dark and blooming blizzarded with sleety snowy stuff. Then out came the sun again until dusk - still clear skies, so I expect it will be frosty tonight.

Blimey it's cold !

It's been lovely and sunny today but we've had a few fleeting snow showers.

At least there are signs of spring- saw my first daffodil flowering today!

It's been a bright,cold and sunny day.

The biggest ever moon shone in the sky last night and there was a hard frost.

There certainly was a gorgeous moon last night.

 

I am hoping that it won't be quite as cold tonight as it is not so clear. Too mnay sports going on tomorrow for there to be too much frost!

 

I have made sure that there will be no more snow around here as I now have a sledge!

Minus 2 here at the moment (been a lovely day in Bournemouth walking along the beach to the Sandbanks ferry and back again).

It was absolutely glorious here yesterday....but colder than it ever was during the recent Siberian spell.

 

The ground was rock hard and the hens water refroze in half an hour. I was up and down the garden with a watering can full of hot water like a thing possessed.

Really cold here too, I've been up since 6 so all chickens done but I will be whizzing round again soon with more water

The water down the end in the cube is OK, although the dish up near the house is frozen. Lovely clean fresh air, and pretty much the same as Christian. I have a feeling the blackbird is going to start hinting shortly because I haven't given him his raisins yet. Tipsy was complaining because Apache is using the nestbox, but suddenly stopped because I think she found 2 in the box = warm.

Cold and crisp underfoot. Had a glorious run through the fields with the dog this morning just as the sun came up. Lovely pink hue to the wispy clouds. Snow flurries possible later though doesn't seem to be much evidence of it in the sky. Chooks tucked into nice warm porridge with gusto.

Yesterday started off with a hard frost, followed by snow showers for most of the morning.

The afternoon was sunny but cool with a bit of hail. Most of the snow had disappeared by then.

 

This morning started off sunny & frosty- the sun's still about but we keep having rainy/sleety showers.

Beautiful morning, light dusting of snow now gone where the sun has been. Quite mild but the clouds are beginning to gather so must clean out the birdies before the rain comes.

It was damp, dark and grey this morning, but we have only had a tiny shower this morning - not enough to bother the girls even though the greenhouse is open today. The clouds are quite broken enough to allow a very hazy sun through occasionally.

A few days ago, I know, but we had the most brilliant sunset - I was walking back from work, so missed taking a photo. But Phil didn't......
