new run plan..............what do you think???

Recommended Posts

basically as the title says really,

what do you think?? its gonna have that temp fencing (the same stuff you find on the building sites) all over the run (even the parts that are not drawn in.)

oo the other thing i was going to ask - fence panels - instead of both the long sides being made with mesh I was wondering if it would still be fox proof with both the long sides being garden fence panel as the furn spans the with of the garden... or would you still put the meshed panels on the inside of the fence panel??

Im hopping this makes sense

If your existing shed fits under this as the diagram would suggest have you checked if you need planning permission for this as it must be over 6ft tall? it looks a set up to die for but is very large and imposing

Also if it spans your existing fences (you say the fence panels are the sides..) then water will run off to your neighbours gardens as I see it???

Not trying to put a downer on your plans, its a dream run but its worth thinking about this all upfront rather than lose it because a neighbour complains

Not sure if you can read my comments so have added them again...

Is this area the weather proof bit? You may need to check your max height.

Is this netting spanning the whole width of garden, like a fruit net?

So this area is for your 'tall veg?

it will be the welded mesh from the temp fencing but it will have the relevent support (that ive not drawn it in as you wouldnt see n e thing else in the plan.

the garden is over 100ft long and the run is at the bottom, we already have one down there and the new run will be the same hieght and size as the old one. The plan isnt to scale either so it will prob be a little thinner too.

Also if it spans your existing fences (you say the fence panels are the sides..) then water will run off to your neighbours gardens as I see it???

thre will be guttering running along both sides to reduce/ stop this happening..its also designed to cope with the mile a min that grows regardless or what you do down there. hopefully spreading that wieght

ah well thats cool, its very tucked away there isnt it? :D

Just didnt want you to get in to hot water

Nice spot for it :D

:lol: i always find a way to get into hot water lol

yeah its a part of the garden we couldnt really use, it backs onto the reception class of my sons class, so no sitting there (nanny state n all that.... so we (or i) though we could put hens there, but the recent snow trashed my run and a fox got my ducks so determined to build a solid safe run.... we also have mile a min growing down there so it needs to be suitable for that too, we used to have to replace the netting at least once a year as you couldnt remove the plant without removing the netting.

now its a matter of getting it done!! :S
