Charlottechicken
It was 27 degrees in the office today, we were all melting! It was a bit of a shock to come out again. It is now zero outside and it was minus 8 this morning, had to stop twice on the way to work to clear the windscreen!
hillfamily
I can't believe snow is on its way either - there has not been a cloud in the sky here all day today. Darn cold though I must dig out a couple of old rugs to through over the Eglus tonight,to keep the girls extra snug Knew there was a reason i didn't throw out the really really really old rugs in the shed - will tuck it round the eglu later. I've just popped the girls 'hot water bottle' in the eglu for an hour just to warm things up (not a real HW bottle but a microwave pet heat pad - used it last winter just to take the chill off. Peck proof and wipe clean )
Karen & co.
I can't believe snow is on its way either - there has not been a cloud in the sky here all day today. Darn cold though I must dig out a couple of old rugs to through over the Eglus tonight,to keep the girls extra snug does this mean that all my poor little daffodils who have just poked their little heads out of their stems are now going to get their tiny little b******s frozen off? Phil I'm sure I read somewhere that daffs can go into suspended animation if it freezes while they are sprouting, then continue to grow again when it warms up, how clever is that karen x
Linda
Oh very clever! We still don't want their poor little blossoms to be frozen off, do we?! This weather must be so confusing for them.
Lesley
Looking at the forecast, I'm wondering if Andrew may have been better staying at home if he wanted snow, rather than trekking off to Derbyshire?
One Man Banned
no no no Lesley! Checked Metchecker and we're more likely to get snow from 0900-1800 tomorrow here than only 1800 at home Can't wait - mind you it's billy cold out there you know!! A xx
