Cancer of the Eye

Recommended Posts

A friend's husband was diagnosed with this about thirty year's ago (he was very young at the time evidently) ...I think apart from having to go for regular check ups at Moorfields it really hasn't caused him any more problems. He has now retired (he retired very young evidently :D ) and was able to work all through his career as a fireman without problems.

Best wishes to your Dad.. and to you all the diagnosis can be more scarey than the disease I think.

My poor old dad who will be 80 in June has just been diagnosed with Myeloma, which is a cancer of the bone marrow. Although shocking he had been so poorly for a while, I was actually relieved to be able to put a name to it. He has just sailed through his first lot of chemo, and is looking and feeling tons better already and is to be discharged from hospital tomorrow.... :D
