Morning all - rude awakening this morning - everyone bokking. Went down in Murray's dressing gown and told them off, found an egg and Sky at the opposite end of the nest box (think the madam sleeps in there). Have no idea who the egg belongs to apart from it being a banty.

Too right there - I get chucked off this end and look what happens. It's Chicklewigglebum started it all up - and virtual lunches - now given half the chance lunch lasts all day here.

Cool Ronnin's - love that film.

Where's our Clootie? We would have to catch up even more then!

Morning All :D

Thank you all very much, i feel all gooey that i was missed on here  I've been so tired and that also helped in my decision to quit work.

This morning Im feeling confused in a 'have i done the right thing' sort of way. Im sure i have, i think  I couldnt carry on like that, but hey, its done now.

Today, having the day off, i am going to have a great chooky day, cleaning houses and mucking out the run, so that will blow any cobwebs away and hopefully i'll feel better about it all later.

Ooo Lewis, those muffins sound yummy and theres lots of willing taste testers here :lol:

I'd forgotten about the lemon cuckoo - I dreamt about a lemon cuckoo rooster last night, but he was a Brahma. Want one of those now. Have seen the lemon Brahmas at the DTB centre - they were new - all offspring spoken for on their listing.

We so do need a bigger garden. On the other hand I'll end up like Tasha cleaning out chicken houses morning noon and night! Must curb the desires.

Just another thought - where's our Teabag too. I'm missing those comforting cuppas.

Morning all! Can I join in the virtual lunches? I guess in theory I could go out for a real lunch, but that costs money, I do do breakfast now and then with a friend though.

Changed all the beds this morning, aching all over now. Think I could do with getting back into mine.

oh I missed the virtual lunch. :( Was playing games on Facebook. Hope you feel better soon Debs. Can't decide whether to take Olly to playgroup or to have a sleep on the sofa. Feeling really tired, despite falling asleep on the sofa at 8.30 last night, hubby woke me up at 10.30 and I went up to bed, fell asleep again immediately and slept really heavily until Olly started crying at 6am. *yawn*

Well all hell has let loose in the garden all morning. Patch wants nestbox - Sioux hogging box. Squirt wants box too. Tipsy bokking for all she's worth - which then started everyone off again. I go down the garden pick up Patch have her on my lap in the sun. Splat. Pigeon sitting in the oak above me poos on my head. I was not impressed. Put down Patch and all hell breaks loose again while I wash my head. I would have had a shower, but as I'm off out tonight I want one after I've been working around the house - which I haven't done anything because I've been in the garden. Arghhhhh! Patch goes in nestbox after I hoick out Sioux, closely followed by Squirt. Sioux boks for all she's worth, setting off Tipsy and the others start up as well. Shut Sioux in Eglu because she starts whingeing all round the garden. After half an hour, Squirt is out - looked for egg. Nothing - not even from Patch - still in the nestbox. Arghhhh! Slowly losing the will to live and wet hair and chilly wind not my idea of fun. :boohoo::boohoo::boohoo: Sioux has been let out of the eglu and touch wood not a peep from anyone.

Sorry you aren't feeling well Debs - get better soon. :(

I wouldn't mind something to eat. Some stupid person said "don't get the bread out until the morning". Well if I ignored him I wouldn't have frozen bread for lunch now because I forgot with all this activity.

Have been reading the Yes Man - he answered one of those types of mail and got tons more - he said word got around that he was a sucker for pills. I just get banks saying they are closing my account because of strange activity. Must be very strange - I don't have accounts with them - go ahead, close it - like whateveeeeerrrrr!

Just hoicked Patch out the nestbox because Sadie was bokking, then Sioux and then Tipsy - what is wrong with them today! Patch had accumulated 2 eggs and was cooking them nicely. Not any more she isn't. :notalk:

My neighbour pal called a short while ago. She has spent the morning in A & E having 6 stitches. How did that happen I hear you ask - OK . . . she wanted her husband to put up a nail in a tree for a bird feeder to go on. He's Italian - tomorrow he says (which never comes) so she got cheesed off and tried to do it herself. Stood on a large plant container - which had been damaged by frost - it collapsed under her weight - she's very trim (I probably would have annihilated it) leading to a gash up her arm. Ouuuuch. She spent 5 minutes on the phone just having a good swear!:lol::lol:

You need a "Martin". I have a lovely man called Martin who comes and collects all my ironing on a Monday, and then returns it all perfectly ironed, on hangers in those lovely protective plastic covers on a Weds :D

*Small Print - Other names may also be as suitable to provide ironing services, and not all Martin's are guaranteed to be ironing heroes*

Does your Martin cover the Cambs area?

Now thinking that maybe I should "outsource" the ironing as it is seriously impacting on my chook snuggle time
