Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 14

Recommended Posts

You need a "Martin". I have a lovely man called Martin who comes and collects all my ironing on a Monday, and then returns it all perfectly ironed, on hangers in those lovely protective plastic covers on a Weds :D

*Small Print - Other names may also be as suitable to provide ironing services, and not all Martin's are guaranteed to be ironing heroes*

:lol::lol::lol:

I dont blame you one little bit either Debs, although i dont really have much excuse not to do the ironing now do i :roll: Although really its only Phils work shirts that i iron really :oops: everything else comes out of the dryer, folded and into the wardrobes :oops: Oh, unless its something of mine obviously :whistle::lol:

I hate ironing with a passion. Havn't ironed for ages. I worked as a housekeeper for awhile for a bloke who had a mahoosive house and guest annex. I used to be terrified i'd ruin his expensive shirts and because there were 8 bedrooms in total itused to take hours to iron all the bedding. I didn't like ironing before and that definatly didn't help me get a liking for it :lol:

I could do with one of those..... I love ironing, but struggle to find the time. Work is formal wear, so it all needs to be neat and pressed.

I envy you Claret, I always feel such a scruffy mess when im working and see all these gorgeous women dressed up lovely for work, makes me feel yukky in my hobnail boots and grease covered jeans :vom:

Get yourself a Martin and enjoy looking like a lady, believe me when I leave work Im never gonna wear jeans again! (well, might be a slight exageration but they will be nice AND clean! :lol: )

Oh I never wear Jeans - she wouldn't like it and they wouldn't fit me anyway. Have been ironing too. Watched a film and I haven't a clue what it was because I wasn't really watching - just a noise in the background to take my mind off ironing. Thing is I might have actually finished but Ciaran bought himself some work shirts so I've put them in a wash to take out the stiffystarchyscratchy bits. I also asked Erin for her college stuff - so she dumps yet 2 more loads on me. I should have left some for next week - well I actually start on Friday and it seems everything has gone bonkers this week.

Hey - where did the sunshine go????

GF is having a dodgy time with her step dad (only 6 years older than her :shock: ) - has thrown her out of the house - there's more to it than that, but won't go into details. So she has stayed with us a bit and then stayed with friends so that she can go to college because she lives miles away near Southampton. Home life isn't too pleasant so I told Ciaran does he realise how lucky he is? And he said yes - then left a pile of washing up without putting it in the washer - methinks that work sheets will have to be drawn up for those not yet earning their keep. :evil: Oh and he starts work tomorrow. I'm hoping that although it's part time, if he behaves himself and sticks it out, then he could ask for more part time work within the system - or towards the end of his contract he can apply for inside work. I'm reckoning he'll stick it out for a month and then go bonkers and go awol again. But he wants to live in his own flat, so now he has an incentive. Oh what boring twaddle I've been doing.

Time for a laugh:

Which one is Cookie at keep fit classes? And is this how she's lost all that weight?

Boom boom! :roll::lol::lol::lol: My veggie patch looks like a herd of elephants ran through it - Kitty is the main culprit. 5 toes are better than 4!

4 eggs today - 2 banties and 2 biggies! :dance:

Just off to see my quilting buddy - usual place halfway between the two of us. Toby carvery and I always have turkey. Yumm. The rest of them here have pizza - harrrr!

Nighty night
