Cinnamon
I was really impressed to see a full page advert in "HEAT" magazine by the RSPCA trying to make people aware of the conditions that supermarket eggs may have been laid in. There is a link - all interesting stuff. How refreshing to see an ad like this in a magazine usually known for its rather flimsy content http://www.rspca.org.uk/eggs

Christian
At least it makes a change from the usual tripe in thise mags (which I like reading ) Thanks for posting this Sarah. Where did I read about the 'code' on eggs Something like - 0 = free range 1 = barn 3 = battery Then a 2 letter code ie GB for UK, FR for France etc??? then a 5 digit farm code - did i dream it? hillfamily
Glad to see this................the plight of the battery hen needs to be kept constantly in the public's mind then maybe things will change. It really needs the push for a change to come from the consumer.
Christian
Martin FR def meant France eg 0FR12345 means organcic from France then 12345 is the farm code I think! 1DE12346 barn from Germany( ) and farm code Not sure!

Martin B
Let's see your new site then Martin. It's not quite finished yet! I hope to have it finished by the end of half-term. It's a site mainly for family who buy my eggs, but of course, I'll let you all look, if you want too!

kannie
Its really good to see this, but its a bit odd that they dont even acknowledge that organic eggs exist! They should raise people's expectations and desires a bit further, I think!
ubereglu
I think they'll take it one step at a time eh?
