sage
When the chucks arrive they will be 6 of them .As I work they will be in the run all day so I'm planning on putting a dust bath in for them and was thinking of using an old baby bath. Do you think this is suitable. Sage

Falkor
I was thinking of making use of an old baby bath for my lot but I would think it would need to have A LOT of earth/sand in it to weigh it down as no dount the chooks will try to perch on it and it would tip it over. maybe if you dug it in a bit? Large Shallow Trugs or old car tyres seem to work best at my house
Cranfield Kate
drill some holes in the bottom and "peg" it down using the bent ends of coat hangers. not sure I am describing that right... Cut the coat hangers as close to the question mark bit as possible and at an equivalent point on the straight edge so you have a bent bit of wire. then drill a variety of holes in the baby bath (or be like my OH and measure) then push the bent bit of wire through. holds it down nicely! Stevie
A spacious plant pot will also suffice.
chick wiggle
A baby bath is a great idea, good idea to try and pin it down too as they will perch on the edges Fill with dry soil and sand and put some diatom in there, they will lurrrrrve it That is after they have watched it for a few day to make sure its not going to pounce on them or explode
