Can't wait til sunday!

Recommended Posts

After building a WIR a couple of months ago, from having an eglu with standard run I have decided the extra space needs filling!!!!

I have looked everywhere for a chamois frizzle poland and managed to track 1 down that is up north rather than down south!! Its still a couple of hours driving away but better than devon........

The lady has talked me into having 2 sisters so one doesn't come on its own which im sure will be better.

I am a little worried as i've not done intro's before but have read many threads on here and 'steady and slow seems to win the race'

I still have the eglu run so I am hoping to set it up somehow inside the WIR with a cat box house as a temp measure, do you think this will do?

I will post some pics when I have collected the new children!

ROLL ON SUNDAY....... :D

She is so sweet and really friendly, shame she has very few feathers left on her back, down to the skin in a couple of spots as she was the males favourite, a little TLC will do the trick i'm sure.

So far so good with intros I have fenced my WIR into 2 halves and she has made friends with my other polish so there has been 2 on each side since Sunday, today I have had them FR in the garden and apart from a few pecks they are getting on much better, so tonight I have covered her in anti peck spray and put her in the eglu (my fingers are crossed) with the other 3. Looks like an early morning for me to pick her out before anyone wakes up and notices!

The breeder I got her off had some lovely birds I took a few pics

She looks completely adorable - I love her little face under that mop! I'm sure she'll have fun with the other poland. Those orps look typey too so I think you've gone to a decent breeder. I've just come back from a long weekend in Devon and I've had a fab-u-lous time :D
