chick wiggle
Ow! Ive scalded my foot! I was taking a pan of pasta to the sink to drain and spilt boiling water on my foot. I whipped my sock off and my skin was already peeling I have had it in a bowl of cold water ever since. Its very red and sore and I think its starting to blister. It eases when its in the water though. Embarassed? Me? Oh Yes
Laura & CTB
Ouch Sandie - poor you! Plenty of ice for the foot and a glass of wine for the rest of you.
Falkor
oooh no Sandie - I am not sure that bubble wrap will help at all in this instance!!!! Are you sure you shouldn`t pop yourself off to hospital if it is blistering? Sending cooling hugs ((hugs))
theherd123
Oh no!! Im sure the rule about burns hasnt changed - as I recall if its bigger than a postage stamp you are supposed to go to the hospital and to keep the wound clean wrap your foot in cling film to keep bits out of the burn. Do hope you are ok

Space Chick
Please get it checked out Sandie. I burnt my stomach in a rice pan incident a few years back, and because I didn't get it properly looked at it took over a year to heal.
chick wiggle
But its a scald not a burn does that make a difference?
Space Chick
Same difference, it was boiling water that ended up over my stomach. Honestly Sandie, I would get it checked out. ((Hugs)) xxx
Ain't Nobody Here
Its certainly bigger than a stamp ANH, it the whole of the top of my foot! Wasnae me who gave the postage stamp advice . Chucky Mama
You need to go to A & E I'm afraid I would wrap in clingfilm and head off us there pretty soon. If the skin is coming off already you may well need antibiotic cover etc.
Space Chick
I think Sandie has gone to the hospital now
Chucky Mama
Poor thing,, don't fancy sitting in the queue at A & E on a Bank Holiday Monday
Looney
Ouch If you haven't already gone to the hospital you should definitely get it checked out! If only to stop us all nagging you!
mostin
Poor poor Sandie. I'm giving you sympathy because I hope you are in A&E right now. If you are still at home, I'm sending you a smack bottom .
chick wiggle
Ok Shhh Dont tell me off, yes im still here but.,,, I have done the next best thing. Remembered my next but 2 neighbour is a paramedic and her hubby is a fireman. so, i went and asked their advice as to wether i should go or not. he was there and said it does need a burns dressing so he is ringing his wife to see if she is available, as long as there is no emergencys! and has any dressings. I am awaiting his call now. Better than waiting in A&E anyway. At least i can still chat with you lot while im waiting. Is that ok?
Looney
Yup, that'll do nicely!
Falkor
That seems acceptable to me And I am sure if she thinks it needs it you will be scooted off to hospital.
Ain't Nobody Here
That sounds OK, we'll let you off . What a handy neighbour to have .
BeckyBoo
Hmmm, next best thing, and I don't blame you not wanting to be in A&E any night, especially not a bank holiday. Hope you manage tonight alright, even with the dressing I'd get yourself up to the hospital or GP first thing in the morning, might need more than one dressing Lots of love, making me wince just thinking about it BeckyBoo
chick wiggle
I do feel a bit guilty, like jumping the queue or something But im sure she will only come if she is quiet, either that or just ring to tell me to go to A&E
