My niece did a similar thing the handle off the kettle broke She was told that she had to keep the damaged area out of the sun for 2 years afterwards so loads and loads of suncream and covering up was needed.

Thanks folks, I did speak too soon though, it was fine this afternoon, now, its killing me They redressed it at hospital, blisters and needles were involved, nuff said

They did tell me to keep it out of the sun Chucky Mama and yeah they said 2 years! 2 years! I'll have to stock up on the fake tan I think

I just cant keep it still, its like really sharp pins and needles

Oh dear, poor you It should turn the corner pretty quickly though. I know how pathetic I am when I burn myself on the cooker (titchy little burns) I can only imagine how sore it must be for you.

Hi Sandie, sorry to hear of your clumsiness. It's actually good it hurts, means your nerve endings which are near the surface are still intact so firing well. Make sure you take some analgesics.

 

Hope it heals quick and you feel better.

Thanks peeps had a crummy night, just cant keep the foot still. Im already soooo fed up with this, I am NOT a good patient

Have to make an appointment today to see the practice nurse

But, on the up side, I had to buy some new shoes yesterday, as I cant get any of my others on, only sainsburys deck type shoes, but hey, new shoes is new shoes I can only get my toes in those too as the dressing is too big to get in

At least they are keeping an eye on it and addressing any problems. When I had a nasty burn they used a dressing called Jelonet and it was really soothing, bet they have made advances since then though.

 

Not really a consolation I know, but really, really bad burns don't hurt at all as the burn has gone through the nerve layer. A couple more days and the stinging should stop, so stock up on the pain killers and Arnica

It always helps me, and being darker skinned, I scar easily.

Im not dark skinned but i do tan quite easily, funnily enough especaily the top of my feet, so keeping it covered should be fun

Oh Mostin I love them, thank you, they did cheer me up, your chucks are absolutely stunning, You already know Im in love with Bill, he is just scrummy and looks sooooo proud and handsome. But, Rod is also looking very good there too

I love your girls sunbathing under the tree. what fantastic pictures. Your so lucky been able to have Bill and Rod. Im hoping I can sneak my GLO boy under the neighbours radar, fingers crossed hes a quiet one

I had very bad sunburn in the backs of my hands following a holiday in Florida many years ago...I'd been using high factor cream until the day before we came home when I ran out, used the same factor but another make & ended up on the plane on the way home with dreadfully sore & purple hands........not a good look for many months after either

 

Hope it doesn't scar too greatly
