Yorkshire Pudding
Ah yes, I've heard that one and wondered about the accent - can anyone place it? My favourites were the Sony Bravia ads with the rubber balls, exploding paint and plasticine. They were beautiful.
Cinnamon
Now any of the O2 ads is good for me - Sean Bean's voice - well Sean Bean full stop but that is another topic for another day. Hands off Missus - hes been spoken for
fluffyknickers
GRRRR I HATE Go Compare, We buy any car AND Halifax. The kids now even turn over for me when they come on!
Snowy
The one I really REALLY hate at the moment is the one that has copied the youtube video of the Mom Song to the William Tell Overture, but for men. Can't even remember what the advert is for, but at the end the bloke puts his hands behind his head and falls backwards to the syrupy voice saying 'you can do it all ... becaaaaauuuse you're a MAN!' (just googled it - it's for Dove) It's AWFUL!!!!!!!! and makes me cringe with embarrasment for men everywhere Is it just me?
Seagazer
The advert I can't stand is the 'We buy any car' one. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhh, that tune, not that tune!!!!! *starts singing* we buy any car .com! We buy any car.com! any, any, any, any, any.... Wow - I must have my head under a rock as I've never seen this ad. Mind you I do tend to watch BBC or sky+ programmes and whizz through adverts. Alis girls
Didnt that lovely guy with the big specs used to advertise Halifax? Where is he now? I think his name was Howard. I find the irritating woman and 2 lovely cats irritating - the woman is sooo annoying - some cat food or other and a lovely silver tabby and a brindle and white called Alfie. I feel the need to stick her head in the cats bowl she is sooo annoying
Charlottechicken
Didnt that lovely guy with the big specs used to advertise Halifax? Where is he now? I think his name was Howard. I think his name was Howard Brown? He worked at the Chelmsley Wood or Sheldon branch of Halifax (in Birmingham), and lived nearby. Wonder if he still works for Halifax He had really thick specs! I used to love the music to the Bodyform ads, with Stevie Lange (who also sang the Limara ads), better known as Shania Twains ex hubby's first wife

Space Chick
I hate the Halifax, full stop. They are THE most unhelpful, aggressive bank. Grrrr! And I hate Howard, I would poke him in the eye if i saw him in the street. Oooh don't get me started!!! I used to work for the Halifax (don't anymore, left nearly 3 years ago as they treat their staff worse than their customers ), but I met Howard once, he was a really nice guy. Although I heard that he was one of the first to get the chop when the banks needed to make cutbacks and HBOS joined Lloyds, I don't know if thats true though. missuscluck
oh no I have got 'we buy any car, dot com' in my head now. Noooooooo My sons form tutor looks like Mr GoCompare. When I met him at parents evening for the first time, my son stood behind him doing a silent GoCompare act whilst I was trying to keep a straght sensible parenty 'nice to meet you' face We now just call him Mr GoCompare. In fact I struggle to remember what his proper name is.

chicken bark
I think Seagazer has the right approach. Sky+ and you need never see an advert ever again. The flip side is that I my 1 year old daughter hears an ad and knows I can keep rewinding it over and over again. Her current favourite is the Fruit Shoot ad. To be fair it has taught her colours so I shouldn't grumble.
