ive got a sort of weird accent, i lived in Tamworth for 18 odd years, then moved to Salford for university, then moved up here

I say things that the little darlings at school find funny - like for the word none I say nun, and if im tired I sound all brummy :lol::lol::lol::lol:

most people just think im posh though or from further down south - dont know why :lol::lol::lol:

We are talking 15 years ago now, but I still remember all the details. :D

I got a drama student who was talented in accents to read a weather report in several accents.

I then had 250 random people to listen to it (from all age groups, race, employment and social backgrounds) and rate each "person" on several factors eg. sense of humour, intelligence, trustworthiness etc etc

The Brummie accent was seen as the best sense of humour, an RP accent was viewed as most intelligent, and Welsh and Scottish as most trustworthy. This is one reason why so many call centres are based in Wales and Scotland 8) even though my research was pre mass call centres

Evening all :)

I don`t think Claire has an accent. Debs does!

BC Orp egg is still pipped and still wriggling...nothing doing with the others at the moment but I think we are only a few hours into day 21 (diary is at work) so time yet.

I have dropped Little Bro's Pilkies to their new owners tonight, met them in a supermarket carpark and exchange of boxes and stuff took place....... :anxious:
