Lewis
We had a nest in the bottom of the tree on the patio last year. We got that spray'y foam stuff which worked for about a week, then they were back Don't see the point in wasps ... bees ... yes ... wasps ... no
Cooks
me neither, cant bear them, but that might have something to do with me being stung on the upper thigh by one twice when I got into bed as a child.. I hold BIG grudges..
Lewis
I was stung on the bottom of my foot a couple of years ago ... I had elephant feet + couldn't get a shoe on for about a week Not good
Chicken Shirl
I used to hate wasps when I lived over there. No wasps here, although in some parts of the island they get Hornets, another nasty stinging insect with long dangly things on it's legs. Yukky!! Going to look on "chickens" then off to bed. Night Cookie. Night Lewis. Mind the bugs don't bite.x

Lewis
Night Shirl + Lyns Have put 4 eggs under H: a pekin, CLB and the 2 meaty crosses. The others are in the incy. I thought that if a couple are infertile/don't hatch, I could swap them over from the incy to her. Not sure if uncle wants a chick or 2 ... he's not having the CLB if its a girl, that one'll be swapped No signs of anything in the incy yet ... hoping we get a pipper overnight Going on a trip tomorrow - to Star City ... it sounds better that it is, Chickvic'll tel you We're going to the cinema for a Business Studies revision day *woo* Because of Ofsted, school have said the teachers aren't allowed to come with us!!

Chicken Shirl
Morning having a coffee and a piece of toast then off out into the garden. It's a lovely cool misty morning again, so perfect. We are in for a hot one today. Poor little Pingu has been put out of her basket and the door to the utility room is closed to her. Tufty won't lay today so I only have today to break the broody minx. They both lay their eggs in there. How are the muddy ears this morning Lewis? Forgot to tell you to have a nice day. See you later.x

Lewis
How are the muddy ears this morning Lewis? Forgot to tell you to have a nice day. They're still muddy. I tried to clean them but she's not having any of it so just left her. She had another big drink + some food this morning, then got back on the nest She's sitting on them sideways at a funny angle, instead of facing the door like she was yesterday - doesn't look very comfy ... and thanks My stuff from Wells has been delivered - mother thought it was going to be more eggs! PurpleTree
Morning! I've just packed my bags. We're going to Barmouth tomorrow with my parents for the weekend Just hoping the rain stays away, the forecast isn't looking too good though I can see us building sandcastles in the rain, nevermind. Lewis, I know what you were on about, saw it on Twitter. Hubby really hasn't touched a chicken yet, but he has progressed to letting them out on a weekend, and he managed to get them back in again when I was ill the other week. The boys were giving him instructions and helping though

Chicken Shirl
You stay under your blanket and get better Em. You poor little body has nothing left, you will have to build yourself up slowly, could take weeks of being off work You will be able to watch the little chickies grow up if you play your cards right.
