Falkor
SOOOOO.......... Here is recued chook - now named Scout Inncy chicks Millifluer and CLB and Scout now that they have moved to the brooder. And I have just rescued chick number two from the broody ark, a mille, she was at the end of the ark furthest from the house. I put her back in and Maria picked her up and threw her back out again. Looks like Maria will be retiring from broody mum duties. Rescue chick number two now in brooder too. Check out the high rise brooders with my homemade lamp stand a'la Redwing stylee Currently looking at a second electric hen
Space Chick
Bad Maria but great pics Her sister Suze, says she would love the opportunity to be a Mum, although is deciding to give her Dad eggs at the moment Love the avatar Em I'm in a funny mood tonight Although we have had a fab tea (Molecular Gastronomy again), we had free range duck breasts (sorry Gerald and Jemima), with carrot and cinamon puree, noodles and a fig and port reduction. I am being watched by 5 chickens They have found the kitchen window and they are freaking me out. In fact.... (sorry Sandie as you have heard this story) Mystery to solve...... The girls are out free ranging, its a nice day so I have my kitchen window open, on my kitchen window sill I have runner bean and courgette plants getting big enough to go outside, below my kitchen window I have a garden shed thing. Well, a big chunk has disappeared from the courgette plant The only evidence I can find is some chicken poo on the garden shed I can't possibly think what could have happened........ Oh did I mention that I saw Leela, Peri, Grace, Romana, Rose and Nyssa all stood on the shed or the window sill Its an invasion I tell you Also, Thomas likes to eat outside (he's a strange cat), his food was in his bowl on top of the shed, needless to say it has miraculously disappeared Did I mention that Rose smells of catfood (thankfully it was a tuna one) They are pushing their luck today
Lewis
That tea sounds Debs! Especially the carrot + cinnamon puree Would eat it if it was chicken Broody is here + squealing out of protest for being moved Have put her in the hutch + she's kicked one of the (pot) eggs out already. Hopefully she settles down on the nest, I think she will as it starts to get dark *fingers crossed* Off to rehearsals now

Lewis
There was a black bantie like that at the farm Tasha, everyone else was terrified, but I loved feeding that pen - with a dust pan in hand! Probably best that they're in the incy then. Hope you're feeling better soon Em! A friend, well not even yet but someone doing my course at Aber is after some duck eggs, so Jemima may be a mother soon + he lives in Neath, Debs
